Meet our Parish Secretaries, Jan and Sandy

Mrs. Jan Bozung

Jan moved to Portland from Westphalia in 1977 and began working at the parish offices in 1985.

 

Her plan was to work here for a few years while her children were young and then reapply to her former employer in Lansing. God had another plan because she’s still here!

 

Jan and her husband, Jerry, have been married for over 30 years. They have three children and three grandchildren.

 

When not busying herself at the parish office, Jan likes to quilt, read and walk. Jan is an MSU fan. “Go Spartans!” 

Jan says, “What I like best about working at St. Patrick's is that you can talk about God anytime and nobody thinks your a fanatic.”

Our Volunteer Secretary, Mrs. Sandy Hornsby

 Sandy is a volunteer secretary for St. Patrick Parish. You will see her mostly each Friday during office hours.

Sandy moved here, to Portland, 24 years ago from Dewitt, Michigan. She has two adult children, Renée and Brian.

In her spare time, Sandy likes to cross-stitch and read. She is an MSU football and basketball fan!

Sandy likes to work at St. Patrick Church because, “I love the people - both the staff and parishioners.”
