Now he is has returned to St. Patrick Parish in Portland from 2004-present.
Father Larry is one of four children – 3 boys and 1 girl. He is a twin and the second oldest in his family. His parents and sister are deceased. Father Larry’s twin lives in Delaware and their younger brother lives in Rockford, MI. Note that he is NOT married.
Photography, movies and plays, hiking (in younger days), visiting friends, and listening to good music are some of his hobbies. The Portland Raiders, St. Patrick Shamrocks, Notre Dame (with Michigan a close second), and the Detroit Tigers are his favorite sports teams!
“What I love best about working at St. Patrick Parish is the people – real down to earth, wholesome, family oriented and friendly. I also like having a pre-school through12 school system – it truly does add a lot of life to the parish. It’s also good to see the parochial and public school systems working well together.”
Father Larry’s favorite Bible verse: John 12:24
“Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.” (This was the theme of my ordination to the priesthood.)
