Hewitt Cup

The Hewitt Cup will be run as an internal club competition during the 2007/08 season with the winner(s) being the player(s) with the most points at the end of the competition

1. All club members are eligible to participate.

2. No games will be graded.

3. One point will be awarded for a win and half a point for a draw.

4. Results must be notified to me (Charles) as soon as possible by the winner or, in the case of a draw, by both players.

5. Normal rules of chess apply to the conduct of games.

6. Rate of play shall be all moves in 80m

7. Quick-play rules e.g. taking a king left in check, do not apply at any stage of the game

8. It would help to keep the competition moving if matches were played during the period indicated, on a club-night agreed by both players

9. Where games are not played in the designated period, the organiser may (at his discretion) default one or both players
