Club Information

We are a friendly chess club, welcoming players of all ages and standards. We have several teams playing in local leagues and cup matches allowing everyone at the club the opportunity to experience competitive chess if they wish. Alternatively, come along and join us on our club nights to socialise and enjoy more informal games of chess held every Thursday at 7.30-10.30pm at the Royal British Legion. Details of our location and club nights are shown below.

Our club has been developing rapidly in recent years and hopefully if this continues we can repeat the success of becoming Hertfordshire Division 1 County Champions in 1987 & 1990
