The Most Illustrious Imperial Order of Sleipnir
The Most Illustrious Imperial Order of Sleipnir was founded on Transformation Day 2002(november 15) and is the oldest Stormarkian Imperial Order of Knighthood.It is named after the magical eight-legged steed of the Norse god Odin.Thanks to his eight legs is Sleipnir able to run faster than the wind.Sleipnir is the first among horses.
The Charter of the Order
Charter of the Most Illustrious Imperial Order of Sleipnir.
To all and singular to whom these presents shall come,greetings:
Let it be known that it has pleased His Imperial Majesty,The Sovereign Viking Emperor to issue this new Charter for the Most Illustrious Imperial of Sleipnir.
Article 1: The name of this Imperial Order of Knighthood shall be:The Most Illustrious Imperial Order of Sleipnir.
Article 2: Only the Emperor,Fount of all honour of the Viking Empire of Stormark,may appoint members to this Imperial Order and He shall make appointments in His absolute discretion.
Article 3: This Imperial Order shall consist of a maximum of forty-nine (49) Stormarkian knights who shall be divided in four (4) classes.
Article 4: The maximum number of Stormarkian knights in each seperate class,and the classes of this Imperial Order in descending Order of seniority and precedence shall be:
One (1) Grand Master
Six (6) Knights/Dames Grand Cross(to be abbreviated KGCS/DGCS)
Twelve (12)Knights/Dames Commander(to be abbreviated KCS/DCS)
Thirty (30) Knights/Dames(to be abbreviated KS/DS)
Article 5: The Emperor shall be the Grand Master of this Imperial Order.
Article 6:The limitations laid down in article 3 and 4 shall not apply to members of the Imperial House of Stormark.
Article 7: The Emperor may,aside from the aforementioned maximum number of six (6) appoint an unlimited number of foreign Heads-of State to the class of Knight/Dame Grand Cross.
Article 8: The Emperor may,aside from the aforementioned maximum number of twelve (12),appoint an unlimited number of foreign royalty,nobles and officials to the class of the Knight/Dame Commander.
Article 9: The Emperor may,aside from the aforementioned maximum number of thirty (30),an unlimited number of foreigners to the class of Knight/Dame.
Article 10: As regards this Charter honorary citizens shall be considered foreigners.
Article 11: Any member of this Imperial Order may be stripped of his/her membership by the Emperor.Such action to be undertaken only in the case of a conviction of Treason,Subversion or another high or grave crime or in the case of conduct unbecoming a Knight/Lady.
Article 12: This Charter replaces the Charter of november 15,2002 and said Charter is hereby rescinded.

This Imperial Order is named after the Longship,the symbol of the Vikings.The date of creation is obscure.Membership is limited to 31 members.It is only conferred upon individuals who already hold a Stormarkian Knighthood.

The Grand and Illustrious Order of the Valkyrie
The Grand and Illustrious Imperial Order of the Valkyrie was founded on November 18,2002 and is the second oldest Imperial Order of Knighthood.This Imperial Order is exclusively reserved for Ladies. Valkyries("Choosers of the Slain") are young,beautiful battle-maidens,mounted upon winged horses and armed with helmets and spears who scouted the battle-fields to select the bravest of warriors,slain in battle and escorted those heroes,called the Einherjar, to the Valhalla, Odin's Hall. The Valkyries are also Odin's messengers and when they ride forth on their errands,their armour causes the strange flickering light called "Aurora Borealis("Northern Lights").

Article 4: In the absence of a Consort shall the Emperor fulfill the duties of the Grand Master.
Article 5: Only ladies may be appointed to this Imperial Order.
Article 6: The maximum number of members in this Imperial Order shall be one hundred and thirty-nine(139)and they shall be divided in four(4)classes.

The Most Magnificent Imperial Order of the Sovereign Viking Crown was founded on February 11,2003.The Imperial Order may only be conferred upon Heads-of-State of Nations that have concluded a Diplomatic Recognition Treaty with the Viking Empire of Stormark.
The Charter of the Order
To all and singular to whom these presents shall come,greetings:
Let it be known that it has pleased His Imperial Majesty,The Sovereign Viking Emperor to issue this new Charter for the Most Magnificent Imperial Order of the Sovereign Viking Crown.
Article 1: The name of this Imperial Order of Knighthood shall be:The Most Magnificent Imperial Order of the Sovereign Viking Crown.
Article 2: Only the Emperor may appoint members to this Imperial Order and He shall make appointments in His absolute discretion.
Article 3: The Emperor shall be the Grand Master of this Imperial Order.
Article 4: Aside from the Grand Master,this Imperial Order shall consist of an unlimited number of Knights and Dames Companion.
Article 5: a)Only Heads-of State of Nations that have concluded a Diplomatic Recognition Treaty with the Viking Empire of Stormark may be appointed to this Imperial Order. b)In the case that the Head-of-State of a Nation is vested in a body the Emperor shall decide in His absolute discretion which member of said body to appoint to this Imperial Order.
Article 6:Any member of this Imperial Order that ceases to be Head-of-State of his/her Nation shall remain a member of this Imperial Order.
Article 7: In the case that a Nation suspends diplomatic relations with the Viking Empire of Stormark or in the case that the Viking Empire of Stormark suspends diplomatic relations with a Nation the Emperor may suspend members of who are citizens of said Nation from this Imperial Order for the time of suspension of diplomatic relations.
Article 8: Any member may be strippped of his/her membership of this Imperial Order.Such action to be undertaken only inthe case of conduct unbecoming a knight or lady.
Article 9: This Charter replaces the Charter of February 11,2003 and said Charter is hereby rescinded.

The Most Honourable Imperial Martial Order of the Battle-Axe was founded on January 7,2003 as the Most Honourable Imperial Military Order of the Battle-Axe.The name of the Imperial Order was changed in July 2003 as part of a transformation of the Imperial Order.The Imperial Order may be only conferred upon Warriors.The Imperial Order is named after the most fearsome weapon of the Vikings.When used in battle with two hands it could hew through a shield and kill the man behind it.As with other favourite weapons the Vikings often named their axes after giantesses,valkyries or fierce women.

Article 6: The Stallari of the Imperial Hird shall have the authority to recommend new members to be appointed to this Imperial Order.

PEERAGE
The Code of the Peerage
The Code of the Peerage of Stormark.
To all and singular to whom these presents shall come,greetings.
Let it be known that it has pleased His Imperial Majesty,The Sovereign Viking Emperor to issue this Code with rules governing the Peerage of Stormark.
Article 1: Only the Emperor may confer peerages and He confers them in His absolute discretion.
Article 2: a)Peerages can be hereditary or for life. b)The Emperor may at any time convert a Life Peerage into a Hereditary Peerage. c)The Emperor may promote at any time a Peer to a higher degree of dignity but no Peer shall be demoted. d)The Emperor shall provide every newly created or promoted Peer with a Letter Patent or other legal document. Article 3: a)A Peer in is his/her own right is a holder of a Peerage. b)A Peer who derives his /her status from his/her spouse or a parent is a bearer of a Title. c)The spouse and children of the holder of a Hereditary Peerage derive status from the holder. d)The spouse of the holder of a Life Peerage and the spouse of a bearer of a Title derives status from the holder;children of the holder derive no status and the same goes for the children of a bearer of a Title. e)Upon conferment of a Hereditary Peerage shall the Emperor decide what Title the (future)children of the holder shall bear. e)Spouses share the style,the prefix and address of their spouse. f)When the holder of a Peerage dies or renounces his/her Peerage shall the individuals who derive their status from him /her retain their title,except the inheritor who's title is subsumed by the Peerage. g)When a widow(er) of a Peer remarries he or she shall loose his/her Title unless the Emperor provides otherwise on his/her request. h)In the case of dissolution of the marriage bond,from the date that the relevant decision comes into effect,the ex-spouse shall loose his/her Title unless the Emperor provides otherwise.
Article 4: a)Peerages conferred upon a Head-of-State of a monarchy are Sovereign's Peerages;this code shall not apply to him/her,except for the personal status information requirements. b)When a foreign Head-of-State of a hereditary monarchy inherits a Stormarkian Peerage it shall immediatly become a Sovereign's Peerage. c)When the holder of a Stormarkian Peerage becomes Head-of-State of a foreign hereditary monarchy it shall become a Sovereign's Peerage upon notification to the Emperor of His/Her ascension of the Throne.
Article 5: a)The Emperor shall keep a register of all the Peers of Stormark. b)In order that the register is kept properly all Peers are required to inform the about all relevant changes in their personal status( births,marriages,adoptions,dissolution of marriages).
Article 6: a)After death,renounciation,or in any other case that a Peer ceases to hold his/her Peerage the Peerage passes to the eldest legitimate child. b)Life Peerages and Titles of Bearers do not pass on. c)Illegitimate children may be legitimized by Imperial Decree. d)Adopted children may be recognized as heir by Imperial Decree. e)When a Peer holds multiple Peerages is he/she free to transfer the lesser Peerages,in comparison to the highest Peerage held,to his/her spouse or his/her children. f)The Emperor may bar an heir from succession. Such action only to be undertaken in the case of a conviction of Treason,Subversion,another high or grave crime or in the case of conduct that has an adverse effect on the reputation or esteem of the Peerage of Stormark.
Article 7: a)There are six degrees of dignity in the Peerage of Stormark. b)They are: in descending order followed by prefix and address: 1)Prince/Princess;His/Her Serene Highness;Your Serene Highness. 2)Grand Duke/Grand Duchess;His/Her Highness;Your Highness. 3)Duke/Duchess;His/Her Grace;Your grace. 4)Earl/Count/Countess;The Right Honourable Lord/Lady;My Lord/Lady. 5)Viscount/Viscountess;The Right Honourable Lord /Lady;My Lord/Lady. 6)Baron/Baroness;The Right Honourable Lord/Lady;My Lord /Lady. c)The Title Lord/Lady-prefix:Right Honourable;address:My Lord/Lady-shall only be borne by the children of the holder of a Hereditary Peerage. d)In the case of a male holder of a Peerage married to a male,a female holder of a Peerage married to a ,and of a female holder of a Peerage married to a female the style "Consort" shall be added to the Title of the spouse who derives his/her status from the holder of a Peerage.
Article 8: Any Peer may be stripped of his/her Peerage/Title by the Emperor.Such action only to be undertaken in the case of a conviction of Treason or Subversion or another high or grave cime,or in the case of conduct that has an adverse effect on the reputation or esteem of the Peerage of Stormark.
