If we are to have a better, kinder, gentler world, we must consider the hard-to-face facts that there are many among us who are killed senselessly and cruelly.

And we should not forget the animals.

In the United States, there is a deep love for horses. They are a part of our history - a vital part of our culture. It is illegal in the United States to sell horse flesh for human consumption. Horses - like dogs - simply hold a dear place in the hearts of Americans, and the thought of eating horse meat is abhorrent to many of us.

This year, the movement to illegalize the slaughter of horses for human consumption was victorious. It is now illegal to kill horses in the United States for people to eat.

Now we can move our attention to other things that should be considered. Such as the conditions in animal testing facilities. The horrible treatment of animals such as chickens and calves.

And worse, the genocide of people on this planet and the definite lack of human rights in many places.

We are building a better world - but there is a lot of work yet to be done. This website is dedicated to things you can do about it.
