Arabian Horses - Stoodleigh Stud - Australia

The stud was established some 40 years ago by its principal Mrs.Denise McCoy. Coming from a family with a long history of equine involvement, her love and knowledge of fine animals is an inborn trait.

Denise has had many years experience of breeding, showing, riding and judging horses, she is a qualified International Arabian Judge and knows just what is required to breed an Arabian that will perform and stand the test of time as has been proven with animals such as Nicolette and her son Nikias (by Abyad) this quality continues with Stoodleighs' current stud sire Belbowrie Abraham.

The stud lines are predominantly Crabbet and Colonial but with an outcross to the Egyptian line of El Moongi
(a Morafic grandson) featuring in the present stallion, also a Nicolette grandson.

Nicolette needs no introduction, her lines feature in top endurance and performance horses of today and that speaks for itself.

Stoodleigh breeds a few select foals each year, here quality not quantity being the goal.
Emphasis is placed on producing horses that may compete in any endeavour:- be it performance, in hand, endurance or racing, our track record says it all.

Over the years Stoodleigh has successfully bred and shown many fine Arabians, derivatives and Palominos, the Palomino stallion "Stoodleigh Supreme" was the first in Australia to establish the White Horse breed in this country.

Stoodleigh also breeds Greyman beef cattle (Brahman x Murray Grey) and due to farm commitments show the horses sparingly.
