This is SkyRider,
The Story of a Broken Harlequin Lop
His Story Starts when he suddenly went blind at 6 months old
Sky was born with sight , but at about 6 months old his original breeder noticed his eyes becoming cloudy , No one is sure if his going blind was Due to an accident or if it was Genetic.
His Original Owner/ Breeder couldn't use him in his program not knowing if it could possibly be a genetic issue ,Sky was then given to another Breeder who decided in less than a weeks time She couldn't handle the sight of his eyes and was going to either destroy him or send him to Auction .
I couldn't Bare to see such a Sweet and Trusting Rabbit meet with either Fate so I brought him home with me .
SkyRider is now a content House Rabbit , Considering he came from a breeding situation into a home environment he was Amazingly easy to Litter Train .He litter trained with in a few hours . and has had no outside accidents what so ever .
While his color is considered Broken , there is nothing Broken about this Rabbit,His Blindness does not stop him for a minute from getting lost while chasing the cats , getting into trouble nor being a shameless beggar.
It is to Sky that this Site will be tribute to . He is the inspiration to keep me going , and a great reminder that Even though there may be a disability there is always reason to continue on .
