Stoneham Historic Walk

Stoneham Historic Walk

A host of community groups created the Stoneham Historic Walk as an incentive to motivate Stoneham residents to become more active and knowledgeable about the community.

Green Streets Initiative Coordinator Hilary Celentano brought together representatives from the Stoneham Historical Society, The Stoneham Historical Commission, Community Safe Routes to School, Stoneham Girl Scouts, ZooNewEngland and the American Heart Association to work on the project.

The Stoneham Historic Walk is a little over a mile in length, encompassing the town's Old Burying Ground, Fuller House, Fire Station, Silas Dean House, Town Hall, Old Shoe House, First Congregational Church, Church Square, Old Town House, the old trolley line and Stoneham Theatre. Medallions will mark the stops along the walk.
