I took a trip down to San Diego and managed to squeeze in some time at the old Santa Fe station in downtown. This is Amtrak 566, just after making its final stop here at San Diego. http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=105107

This shot is not Amtrak: it's Coaster F40 SDNX 2105 and San Diego trolley MTS 1046 at the depot.

CDTX 2051 has finished today's run of Amtrak 715. BNSF is replacing wooden ties with concrete ones north of Fresno on the Stockton Sub, so until February 4, the San Joaquins are only operating between Bakersfield and Fresno. The engineer is removing baggage from the cab while the cab car is prepared for this evening's southward run.
