Featurepics is since November 2005  online and is based  in California, USA  and acts therefore  under  this law. By 01.05.2006 were 19 500 images online, I have no information how many are added  each week. The average review time  is 24h hours  and  the pic  is, when approved,  immiadetly  online. The artist gets paid 70% of a price s/he had set her/himself. Sales operate on a per photo base and the author sets their own prices. Featurepics doesn't specialise in any special subjects or styles.  The sites' statement is  "We are working together to market Images that dazzle people's senses, excite their imaginations, and urge them onto greater things"

The site exists only in english and offers "requests for images", collections and "short cuts" for buyers and free space for art promotion, news, stories and the possibility to set their own prices for artists. It also exists a direct link to the independent microtalk forum, but you have to register seperately with them to post messages. Minimum size and quality for submissions are:  600x601 px  and jpg  format, no max file size but interpolation is not allowed. Images may stay as long online as the artist allows. Currently there are 250+  registered artists, no numbers available about  registered buyers. For submission likewise for use of images applies the US law.
