Many years ago I wanted a customized Gibson SG like my guitar idol , Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath had.
At that time the only way to get one was to have one custom made or do it yourself. I decided to give it a try and see if I can cut Mother of Pearl cross inlays and inlay them into the neck of this 1980 SG I purchased. After reading up as much as i could on the art of inlaying and fretting , I purchased the material and tools needed and got to work. After the inlay and fret work was completed , I also decided that if this SG was going to be a "Black Sabbth / Tony Iommi " SG, it also has to be painted black.. Once it was completed, I was happy and the "bug" had bitten me. The rest , as they say "Is History"
