15th August is the day when the whole World Celebrates Our Lady Assumpted in Heaven, in Malta traditionally known as Santa Marija. Mqabba is one of Seven Towns around Malta and Gozo who proudly keeps Santa Marija as Patron Saint. On the day the Statue of Santa Marija is carried out of the Church, in Procession around the streets of Mqabba.
