I have had Border Collies/Working Sheepdogs for over 40 years, mainly competing in Obedience. I have trained 4 Obedience Champions, 3 other dogs with Obience/CC's, winning 32 Obedience/CC's and the Crufts Obedience Championships in 1975 with Obedience Champion Stillmoor Jamie of Hurstview.
I started judging Obedience tests in the 70's and judged the Crufts Obedience Championships in1993.
I will be judging at Crufts in 2009. This time Heelwork to Music and Freestyle with two other judges.
I have competed in the championships 19 times. I don't compete in obedience now. I do however compete and judge Heelwork to Music/Freestyle. Though I am not the most graceful competitor, I love training my dogs. Having trained Stillmoor Tartan Tazie, Stillmoor Dark Storm and Stillmoor Red Rustler NF/EX to Advanced Heelwork to Music, Keppy and Russ are also Intermediate Freestyle but are both retired now. Stillmoor My Quest NHTM/EX is the dog I mainly compete with now, but I am excited with my new puppy “Skeet” (Stillmoor Flash of Light). I also do the odd bit of breed showing. Stillmoor Blue Ice ( blue merle ) has a Reserve CC but hated showing so I don’t show him any more. His son, Stillmoor Ice in the Sun at Colshep, owned by Liz & Trevor ( blue/merle and tan) has just won his Junior Warrant. I get great pleasure in breeding dogs and seeing them do well.
There are more Stillmoors in Heelwork to Music/freestyle than any other line.
I hope to create a page later of other Stillmoor owners and their dogs.

The Swedish Vallhund is another breed we have here. “Frankie,” (Drois Nelumbo Lotus of Stillmoor), our first Vallhund, has been placed in Freestyle. We have only bred 3 litters of Vallhunds. Alfie from our third litter, owned by Louise Paterson and Karen Kennedy, (CH Stillmoor Feilan Jarlalfvin JW SHCM) is the first tailed male champion in the breed.
