New curate Maggy Ellison will be ordained at York Minster on July 5th, and will serve as a self-supporting minister at St Lawrence and St Hilda. Please hold her in your prayers! Social Evening On Friday 17th July starting at 7.00pm 2 course Supper £3.50 (adults, children go free) Time to chat and enjoy each other's company. Also a new variety of the Beetle Drive which is just as much fun!: Holy Beetle! St Crux dates 2009 8th October 2009 5th November 2009 We will be raising money for church funds by serving refreshments and selling bric a brac and books at St Crux church (at the end of the Shambles) on the above dates. Bric a brac and books are needed. They can be brought to church on any Sunday. We also need help with baking and serving on the day. If you can spare and hour or more then we need you! Please mark the dates in your diary. New website We now have a new joint St Lawrence and St Hilda website currently in its preliminary phase.

Summer Fayre £304.01 was raised at the Summer Fayre. We were lucky with the weather and the plant stall did a roaring trade
Christian Aid Coffee Morning £217.49 was made at the Coffee Morning organised by the local Churches Together group. Thank you to everyone for their support.
Youth Groups Coffee Morning Thanks to all who supported the coffee morning to raise funds towards a Youth Group outing in June. We raised £162.41
Stamp Collection The Brownies are collecting used stamps for St Leonards Hospice as part of the Change the World programme organised by Guiding UK. Please place any used stamps in the box in the church porch.
Spring Fayre £183.13 was raised at the Spring Fayre on 4th April.
Beaver and Brownie Vacancies Both the Beavers (boys age 6-8) and Brownies (girls age 7-10) have vacancies. Please see the Children and Young peoples page for details.
