On August 3^rd, the Squires went to the Rays v. Tigers game.  Before the game the boys enjoyed a tailgate party with the Knights and Squires from Riverview.  Upon entering the stadium each Squire received a complementary Ray’s lunchbox.  We had great seats down the 3^rd baseline.  In the 10^th  The roar in the stadium was almost deafening. After the game the boys went down on the field.  From right field they got a good perspective of just how far it is to hit a home run.  We had a difficult time convincing them it was time to leave.  After a few short miles on the bus they wished they were already at home.
inning the entire stadium was on their feet, to watch the Rays clinch it 6 to 5.

On July 27^th, the Squires had another successful doughnut and coffee sale.  Starting on August 24^th, the Squires will be hosting coffee and doughnuts every 4^th Sunday of the month.  A special thanks goes out to Brother Artie Wicks for coming out to help at all of the Squires sales and events.

Chuck Dolan, State Squires Chairman, was our guest at our meeting on August 9^th.  He commented on the structure and demeanor of our meeting.  He was very impressed with the camaraderie coupled with the focus of our boys.  He said he was impressed by our ideology and our planned future events.  He asked for our help and support to start new Circles.  As always our Squires said they are up for the challenge. 

I am truly convinced our Squires Circle instinctively knows what our Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson meant when he stated the following in his latest book A Civilization of Love, “If in baptism we become a part of the body of Christ, and if Christ has no hands but ours in this world, how can we keep those hands in our pockets?”
