Stewart P.M. Barnes / Author
As a young man I grew up in NY when we had to use our imaginations, and creativity. I was a BV child. (before video games) when we stayed in the parks, and the school yard until the streetlights came on. I came from parents that were blessed enough to stay married and raise the three of us. We weren't wealthy, but we were rich with the gift of family. I had the blessing of watching my mom be the kind of woman that always saw the good in people, and set the example of doing for others. She is one of the most loving, forgiving, caring, and serving people that I know. Thats probobly what they considered when they awarded her the Black Achievers Award in 1998. I watched my father unknowinly teach me how to become a man that placed God, family, and self in that order. He was a strong willed man that sacrificed all of hiself to provide for his family.
Since a child I have won several awards for my talents in Art. Through my writting I have the joy of being creative, and yet share some of the rich history of the our country, and the Native American struggle of the late 1800's. I hope this story inspires all that read it to remember most ... that we are all children of God.
Most of all I just love being a nice guy, a good friend, and in relationships, treat people the way that I would like to be treated. I Try to have a sense of humor, < I'm sure you know I'm not 106 yrs old....>
