Furcadia update (1 - 02 - 2008) broke almost all of my dreams, I am in progress of fixing and updating them.

My Dreams

Summer Contest 2007 - Landora's Quests 2 (2nd Prize Winner - Master Catagory)

The best thing I have ever made for Furcadia. An action-adventure platformer with rpg elements. It's the first dream I've made with Furre ID. Sadly, I couldn't add everything I wanted because I hit a ds limit (7999 ds lines), but I'm still very proud of it.

The playing character has 3 lives, can get 3 different weapons, kill monsters for money to buy new stuff with (weapons, health, potions), etc etc. In this one I use an opening and ending cutscene again, but this time it's well executed, so the plot doesn't sound too forced. I can't really explain it any further, if I had to recommend you one dream of mine to play, it would be this one. Here's what Felorin had to say about it.

"The decision between First and Second Prize was particularly difficult this time. Our next two dreams are both really exceptionally good, and I'd encourage everyone to try out both of them. Our Second Prize winner receives 150 Golden DragonScales and three White Roses. And the winner is... Landora's Quests 2 by Stevie(fire elf)! Stevie's dreams always make me feel like my PC and my Furcadia window have been transformed into a Super Nintendo, running an old-school console RPG. And they keep getting better. This one's got screen-fade effects, plenty of music, probably the best sound effects of this year's contest. There's monsters, puzzles, people to talk to, shops, weapons upgrades, and cute puppy dogs. It's got a really nice patch too. But don't go by my inadequate description, go play through the quest yourself. Great work, Stevie! "

Wolf's Howl 2006 - The Shadow RPG (3rd Prize Winner - Master Catagory) - updated on 8 february 2008

The Shadow RPG is an interactive fiction styled game (A game controlled completely by text, with hardly any visuals). The layout, buttons and graphics have all been redesigned and blend together perfectly for this kind of game, together with high quality mod music and some voiceacting to increase the atmosphere of the dream.

The dream was updated to support the new update released. The game is now almost completely finishable using buttons. I've rewritten large portions of the storyline and changed the conclusion. I've also added some more, and use new pictures. I've spent quite a bit of time to create a completely new and original dream for Furcadia and I think I did pretty well, despite that it only won 3rd prize... Overal, I think this is one of my best dreams yet.

This is what Felorin had to say regarding my dream on the day the contest results were released:

"Our first winner is a wonderfully clever dream, The Shadow RPG by stevie (fire elf)! This dream recreates the feel of classic old text adventures - but with the addition of a small black and white illustration for each location, and lots of ambient music and sounds to set the mood. Stevie has a customized skin with a large text area and custom buttons to enter all the most common adventure commands for moving, looking around, getting and using obects, etc. Definitely a first of its kind dream, way to go stevie!"

Summer Dream Contest 2005 - SummerCastle (2nd Prize Winner - Master Catagory)

This dream was a colaboration with Shy Red. A spiritual successor to Shy Red's previous dream entry 'The Winter Race' using only the furcadia default patches.

Neither of us felt like doing a big project for the contest so we just entered this, a rather short but fun quest with various simple puzzles. The dream relies more on it's witty, humorous story than on good dreamweaving and ds. Nevertheless, seeing this dream win 2nd prize in the Master's Catagory was a pleasant suprise.

Spring Dream Contest 2005 - landora's Quest I: The temple (1st Prize Winner - Master Catagory)

I concider Landora's Quests as one of my best dreams. It uses a system simular to that in Damon's Infection and Sonic's Summer Quest, allowing the user to attack moving monsters, fight big bosses, communicate with various npc's, etc..
The dream uses the excellent graphics from the Sega Genesis game 'Landstalker', resulting in some great looking maps with a good deal of variety and detail.

As far as the story goes, the dream is a sequel to Damon's Infection. The story takes place 50 year after that dream and involves a descendant of the people of Damon's floating island. Despite drawing from various roleplaying games (for example Lufia 2 for the Super Nintendo) the dream has still some more serious elements.

A sequal (and the 3rd part in the trilogy, Damon's Infection being the first) is currently in production.

Other people who were in the team on this dream were Shy Red, who helped testing and created the awesome layout, and The_rg who created the avatar portrait.

Winter Dream Contest 2004 - Wintery Quest II (1st Prize Winner - Master Catagory)

Wintery Quest II, as you might suspect is a sequel to the rather successful Wintery Quest dream, that won 2nd prize in the Winter Dream Contest in 2003. (note, that was the first time I entered a contest) The dream uses an updated version of the patch used in said prequel.

I was pretty dissapointed when I heard the contests results for the Halloween Contest in 2004, when I entered Damon's Infection. I felt as if people prefered mediocre trading quest dreams over originality. (funny how the same thing happened in 2006, when I entered The Shadow RPG)

So what did I do? I created a sequel to Wintery Quest, which was pretty much a trading quest too. However, despite being a trading quest, I made sure that Wintery Quest II would not be mediocre.

See for yourself why this dream won 1st prize. Despite being somewhat outdated compared to my current dreams, I still think of it as a great dream, with a lot of interesting and fun quests (take the theatre duel scene for example)

Also, just for fun, the local avatar on this dream is Homer Simpson.

Wolf's Howl 2004 - Damon's infection (Honorable Mention - Master Catagory,  was shown in the FurCon '05, and has a permanent upload)

My attempt at creating a more serious action-rpg dream. Using the same engine used in Sonic's Summer Quest. Quite outdated compared to my modern dreams, this is still regarded as a classic, it has a permanent upload on furcadia and was even used in FurCon '05...

As for why this happened. Interesting graphics, a relative good story, actual cutscenes, fighting strong, animated moving monsters, voiceacting and good music (midis...), ...
This dream attempts to play as an actual new game instead of being just another quest dream.

The name is not a misspelling of Demon. Damon is a big floating island on which the game takes place. The island gets invaded by a dragon and his underlings, and when they attack the village you reside in, almost everyone aside from you is killed. It's up to you to get revenge and stop 'Damon's Infection'.

I was pretty dissapointed by the fact that it only won a Honorable Mention in the contest, however...
It appeared Gar was the judge for my dream, and naturally he found the one bug I forgot to fix, by which he missed the intromovie. That, and he got stuck on the very first puzzle in which you are supposed to get a sword.

Summer Dream Contest 2004 - Sonic's Summer Quest (1st Prize Winner - Normal Catagory)

The second time I would enter a dream contest. At the time quite original, this was the first dream that featured cutscenes, jumpable platforms, moving/attackable monsters, etc.. I later used this system in various other dreams such as Damon's Infection or Landora's Quests.

I was originally planning to enter the Spring Contest with this dream. (Shy Red, who was a big help on this dream was going to enter the contest too with his 'The Spring Tower')
The dream wasn't accepted however because it wasn't related to Spring enough.

I was pretty glad this happened because it turned out there was a fatal bug in the dream. I fixed it and added more details in the dream, and then entered it in the summer contest as 'Sonic's Summer Quest', in which it won 1st prize and my ticket in the Master Catagory dreamcontests.

Winter Dream Contest 2003 - Wintery Quest (2nd Prize Winner - Normal Catagory)

The first time I entered a contest and the 3rd finished quest I made. A rather simple trading quest styled dream with a few add-on puzzles and simple graphics. Even so, it has a cute story and the moving npc graphics are rather nice. The dream was still rather successful.

The goal of the goal of the game is to find a way of a strange island you appeared on after you got lost in your boat... You'll have to talk to npc's and solve puzzles to do so.

Mario RPG

Second finished quest I made, using graphics from Mario RPG, a great game for the Super Nintendo. Overal not so good, but could be fun if bored. Do as you please.

Fallout RPG

The first finished quest I ever made, using patches based on Fallout. Overal pretty bad compared to my new work, bad quests, retarded writing (I didn't know about punctuation and grammar back then), etc. Check out if you're really bored and are my fan or something.

Shy Red's dreams

Winter Contest 2004 - The Winter Race (2nd Prize Winner - Normal Catagory)

The Winter Race is a short, but fun quest game in which you must complete a race parcour. The puzzles aren't that magnificent, but Shy Red has a great sense of humor, so this dream should provide enough entertainment.

Don't forget to check out 'Shtewie and Shay Ret', the dream's snail mascots!

Also, the snowman next to Shy Red is an actual furre (local avatar). It's Volgowrath, who helped to test several of our dreams before.

Spring Contest 2004 - The Spring Tower (2nd Prize Winner - Normal Catagory)

The Spring Tower was Shy Red's first contest entry. (We were supposed to be contestants, as I was going to enter Sonic's Summer Quest in the same contest, but my dream wasn't accepted the first time, not 'spring related' enough.

The dream is a great puzzle dream. The aim is to clear all the puzzles (one on each floor, and there are 15 floors) to reach the top of the tower, where you will find the Spring Tree, a magical tree that will make one wish come true.
