Hi Steve - Great site! Having just moved to a very nice, but very small QTH (very little room for antennas and a lot of local restrictions) I'm going to try your 40m vertical mod'. I have an old CB base antenna and it just might be the answer to getting back onto 40 meters - thanks for the info'. I also like all the other stuff on your site - makes it all useful and interesting. I opened some of the music links in a second tab while browsing the site - some cool sounds! Great job Steve, hope to meet you on the air soon. Best luck and 73. Mac, EA5HDN

you might want to try 6bx7 in place of 6sn7 in your headphone amp, if you can find some black plate ones.
cheers

Was looking on line to see if there where any Murch transmatches out there. They where designed and the machines to make the parts where designed and built by Charlie Murch in Franklin Maine. He was a great guy and brilliant. I made most parts in the units, thousands at a time at different times, painted the cabinets and assembled them for a few years. Could have pretty much put one together blindfolded. Glad you like it, I probably had my hands on every part in it.

Congratulations for your nice home site and infos about your antenna system (small place). Is 6 mm square or 6 mm diameter of copper for your 7 Mhz coil ?

Hi Again Steven, I have been using the RJX-661 now for 2 months and love the rig and have made over 300 dx contacts. However I have been unsuccessful in locating a manual. I have checked hundreds of web sites but found nothing. The radio needs some minor fixes and several lamps on the analog display need replacing. Have you had any success in locating a manual? There must be one in Japan somewhere. By the way you have a most excellent web site. Thanks again, Doug K7TLX
