This is what I really do.

Ah, vanity .....

The 'stash is real. The fab Anthony Jackson mute-ola technique is real. Everything else is up for debate.

The bass is a Ibanez SR406. Bridge has been recessed a mm to get the whole thing in contact with the top. Real p.o.s. onboard pre ripped out and replaced with a Bartolini I had lying around.

Strings now by Wyres! Finally a killer string. Currently using T3025s. Teflon coated!
Nice & smooth, great tone. Fantastic company. Check them out today.

The amp rig has changed a little. Still using the Trace Elliot pre. Now with a modded output section & power supply. Sounds really big now.
The Bryston 4B is still there. The cab is now an Acme Sound Low B2. Small, light & loud. Goes all the way to the low B too!

The ERB Pre:

I started a new tube/ solid state preamp a while ago just for fun. Then the subject of just such a thing came up on The Extendedrange Bassist site.

So, I'm now calling it The ERB Pre. Here's some pictures of the first test unit. I'll put up more details as they become useful.
