Alex Protects Stephy While Kary is Bothered by Drunken Man
After the premiere of ‘Love is Not All Around’, the main cast and crew went to Lan Kwai Fong to celebrate. When leaving, Kary Ng, who is known to have a western personality, was stopped by two drunken foreigners who began wooing her. Alex Fong, who was walking with her, did not stop and help Kary, instead he immediately began protecting his rumoured girlfriend, Stephy Tang.
On the night of the premiere, Stephy was wearing over HK$500,000 worth of jewelery and so, Alex was in charge of protecting her. Later, a celebration party was held at Lan Kwai Fong’s ‘Fevar’.
At 2 in the morning, under the protection of security, Miki Yeung was first to leave, followed by Stephy and Kary. Alex was the last to leave. As the girls were about to get onto their car at the front of the street, two drunken foreigners stopped Stephy and Kary. Kary, who has a western personality, immediately said hello to the two which then caused one of the men to put his hands on her shoulder and begin drawing close to her face. This caused Kary to rush off with her hands in front as protection and as for Stephy, who was originally holding hands with her, she was no where to be seen. Alex, who was walking behind Kary, did not come to her rescue.
As for the other drunken man, he quickly followed Miki into the car during the chaos. Thankfully the security immediately pulled him out of the car. The man then took off his pants in front of all the people.
Yesterday at an interview, Kary commented, “When we were leaving, I was really scared. I just wanted to say hi but this caused them to be more passionate. (Alex did not care about you and was busy protecting Stephy?) I have no idea. They got it wrong, both of them should have been protecting me. Maybe he only wants to protect her!”
As for Alex, he said, “At the time, Kary and Stephy were far away from me. I did not know what was happening. When I went over, I then realised that a drunken man was holding onto Kary. As Stephy was right next to me, I began protecting her.”
Kary has consulted her lawyer and because putting hands on the shoulder is just an act of friendliness in western culture, the man cannot be charged with assault.
