Hello all my name is Stephen Doherty, im 29 years young and i love country music.
At a very early age i was listening to the likes of Porter Wagoner and Buck Owens as my dad was listening to this and i just loved the music when I was younger and i still do.
I was djing on a local radio station in Strabane called Tyrone Community Radio for about 1 year but unfortunately I had to move on as my partner was pregnant with my first child and i just couldnt get the time with my own work and looking after the baby so i decided to leave the radio.
Then in May 2008 i decided to go back onto the radio again this time with a local community station in Carndonagh called Inishowen Community Radio promoting Irish Country Music, i must say im looking forward to this once again bringing the north-west the music they want to hear.
my favourite irish singer is none other than Big Mick Flavin - myself and mick and my dad go back along way, and Mick has never forgotton us.
