Volunteers wanted to teach English in Tsunami affected areas of Thailand

Step Ahead is a training centre in the Phang Nga province, Southern Thailand, in an area badly affected by the December 2004 Tsunami. Step Ahead is currently running a number of courses, including Hospitality and General English classes, primarily within the centre but also within a number of near-by communities; for example a local orphanage for those affected by the Tsunami.

Step Ahead requires English teachers who are prepared to commit for a minimum of one month to help us run our 4-week courses both within the centre and out in the community projects. Materials and a scheme of work will be provided, however teachers will be required to be confident and experienced in delivering lessons to groups of adults and/or children and prepared to adapt as necessary to meet the needs of these learners. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to meet and work with local people, immerse yourself in Thai community and culture and enjoy the lovely food and beaches!  If you want to get involved or would like to find out more information please email, stepaheadtraining@gmail.com
