This site is deticated in memory of Charles Walsh. A true train buff, friend and mentor. He will be missed.
Welcome to Steam Locomotive Fans! Here you can find info on nearly all of the major steam locomotives operating in North America today and in the past years, along with their history. On each page there are tips on how to model the locomotive in most scales. Also, me being a big fan of transition era steam, there are a few pages on locomotives that have not run since they were retired, such as the Union Pacific Big Boys and SP Cab Forwards. If you have any contributions (pics, info) that you'd like to share, please e-mail them to me at conrail6809@yahoo.com
