Congratulations to billybobble on winning the MBC pick 'em. Just goes to show you that you don't have to be in the conference to have the ability to Pick 'em. In fact, there maybe something to be said about NOT being "in the know" when it comes to picking.
I have struggled with the All Conference thing. I am sure by now, the players and their teams know, but nothing official is out (that I have seen). I went ahead and did some of my own commentary.
nCommentary has been updated with my take on seeding a whole half of the division two section. Additionally, I have started to create the State Tournament Pick 'Em. I currently have D1 and 2 up, the rest will be up by the end of the day. Open to all, but if you are a regular, please use your current Pick 'Em name so I can compile a separate list.
Finally, 4 more days...
I don't know if the seeding meetings could be any easier for the MBC teams. The only seeding question mark may be between the 4 and 5 seed in Region A of D2. Osceola (8-9) and Ashland (9-8) are vying for the seed. Ashland plays an unusual schedule as they are primarily playing Minnesota schools and a few Wisconsin schools. Osceola could argue strength of schedule out weigh the Oredockers. Either way, one of them is going to have to make a heck of a journey on the first round of the play offs.
Another curious first round match-up will be Durand travelling to Baldwin-Woodville the first round. The winner will get the well rested Warriors in Rice Lake the second round.
Pick 'em has been updated. It has become a two horse race. Who will flinch? The seeding meetings are less than 2 weeks away and in Region B of D2 alot has yet to be decided in the race for the number 2 seed. See the updated seeding speculations HERE. No movement in the current Power Rankings. The race appears to be for 3rd place in the conference and that could all but be decided this Thursday.
We will re-do all the picks for the cancelled games on Tuesday. If you know the date of the games (I know 2 are Feb 11) please post them.
My picks and commentary for tonight as well as revealing "personal" Commentary update are complete.
Power Rankings & Bracketology updated.
Pick 'em results updated.
Want to see some conference re-aligment? Here are my ideas!
Power Rankings have been updated. Keep in mind, these are only MY VIEW...I don't profess to be an expert, but I have followed enough basketball in the years to get a feel for how good teams are.
Bracketology has also been updated, no movement from last week, but some interesting records in the Region B could make for some big movement before all is said and done.
Some changes will be taking place. For a couple of reasons.
1. I will be going to my own dedicated domain name very shortly. These changes will ease the transition
2. It will make it easier to post comments and hopefully create more commentary from you guys, the fans. As of right now, the MBC Bracketology has made the switch.
Those of you familiar with Blogs, this will not be anything new to you. You will be able to comment on just about any of the pages. The guestbook will stay, but I will get rid of the forum.
If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to contact me. Click Here.
Power Rankings, my picks, and all new Bracketology all updated.
My picks and comments can be found in News, Notes & Commentary.

First of all, Happy Holidays to all. My Christmas sabbatical is over as we gear up for the start of the New Year of MBC Basketball!
Only one conference game on tap this week. The Blackhawks travel to Durand to face the Panthers on Thursday, January 3.
In non-conference action. The highly anticipated match-up of New Richmond at EC North is slated for the 3rd as well as Osceola traveling to Hudson on the same night.
The week wraps up in more non-conference action with the Warriors travelling to River Falls on the 4th.
See my prognosis of each in News, Notes & Commentary. Also included is some of my own commentary in a piece I like to call, "Is it just me?"
Also, check out the first installment of the 2008 Power Rankings as well as updated standings in our Pick em' league.
This weeks non-conference action:

Baldwin-Woodville (3-4) @ St Croix Central (4-1)
Grantsburg (3-1) @ Amery (2-3)
Hastings, MN @ Prescott (2-3)
The latest AP Poll has the Tigers moving up. Tonights game against Spooner could be the Tigers toughest challenge so far.

There could be an oddity in the MBC brewing for this evening. Could ALL road teams win? Check out my comments on tonights action in News, Notes & Commentary.
Also, the Dan Stovall video is now available in QuickTime format on the Pics/Videos page. Check out some of the kids sick dunks from last season.
