9th October - Club AGM
New club officers have been elected to run the club for the following year.
29th March - 70th Anniversary Dinner & Dance
We've held our 70th Anniversary D&D and had a brilliant night catching up with friends from years gone by and meeting people who have been involved with the club throughout the years. The 2nd Chairman of the club was also present at the dinner. We were honoured to have Melanie Hall from the NFU to speak at our dinner. Photos an be found on the photo pages and the photographer for the night Helen Barnecutt also has other photos of the evening.
3rd February - Cabaret Final
Well done to Paul & Jane who got through to the final in the Hall for Cornwall for the cabaret, Jane's piano playing and Paul's singing were fantastic. Paul won the best performer award, when he received the award he said it was as much for Jane as for himself.
11th January - Cabaret Round
St Columb entered two acts in the County Cabaret competition. Shen Lungs Dance, which was a Chinese Dragon, the members who took part in this were: Chris Weldhen, Nicola Chegwidden, Tristan Thomas, Robert Retallack, Jessica Cardell and Alison Provis. Amazing was performed by Paul Julian and Jane Wood. Amazing did really well and got through to the final in the Hall for Cornwall but unfortunatley the other act didn't go any further.
December - Carol Singing
The club went on a night of carol singing in December to raise money for the Precious Lives appeal and donated over £80 to them when they gave the club a talk in January
26th October - Fashion Show & 70th Anniversary Book
The club organised a Fashion Show at The Cliffdene Hotel, Newquay with the girls and boys modelling Mole Valley Farmers clothes in the first half and Pam's People Dresses in the second half. A great night was had by all. This night also launched the sale of our 70th Anniversary books. These are available at a cost of £4 from the advisory. Please let us know if you would like a copy.
14th October - Harvest Festival
St Enoder Church hosted us for this event and club members presented their produce (even a live hen) and read prayers.
13th October - Dinner & Dance
This was held at the Edgecumbe Hotel, Newquay. Around 100 members, past & present attended and a good night was had by all. Trophies were given out and these photos will be added to the website as soon as possible.
29th September - Bike Hike from Bude to St Columb
Well done to everyone who rode from Bude to St Columb in aid of the RNLI. We left St Columb at 7.30 and headed up to Bude in a minibus. We were even on Pirate FM & Atlantic FM promoting our efforts. In total it was about 58 miles so well done to everyone who completed it. The day was ended off with a very successful disco at Trebuddanon.
28th July - County Rally
The club did very well coming 5th overall out of 20 clubs. We entered nearly every competition and won lots of prizes - well done everyone.
7th, 8th & 9th June - Royal Cornwall Show
The club entered various competitions and congratulations go to Ben Trethewey for coming 3rd in the junior dairy judging and to Robert Retallick for coming 2nd in the junior lamb judging
26th May - County Tug of War & Disco
This was held at Trebuddan Farm and the boys pulled Tug of War for the club in their new shirts kindly sponsored by The Pheasant Inn in St Newlyn East.
20th May - Nicola leaves the Country
Nicola leaves Heathrow to fly out to Tasmania, Australia through the NFYFC Discovery Programme as a Young Farmer Ambassador.
20th May - Competitions Day
The club took part in the County's competition day which was at Penans Farm, Grampound and the results will follow shortly.
19th May - Sarah & Martin's Wedding Day
Sarah Lowe and Martin Sluggett are now Mr & Mrs Sluggett. They were married at St Minver Church and had their reception at The Kilbernie Hotel, Newquay.
15th April - Selling Dung
Chris, Carl, Shaun, Ben, Robert & Nicola went around Newquay & Quintrell Downs and sold some dung raising around £100 for charity. We still have some more if you would like some.

Camelford Games Evening - 28th February
The club sent a team up to Poldark Inn to represent the club and they came 5th.
County Ball - 16th February
The club supported this event very well and had a couple of tables at the evening and quite a few members wore their masks.
County Trethorne Games Evening - 27th January
Well done to everyone who represented the club well! We won the pool competition & came 2nd (by only 1 point) in the pub quiz. We also took part in the ten pin bowling & call my bluff but we don't know what we came in those competitions.
Safari Dinner - 25th January
A big thank you much go to our advisory for organising a great social evening. Thank you to the 9 families who cooked for us when we travelled around our district, to Toppenrose Dairy for sponsoring the cheese and for Penmellyn Vets for allowing us to use their new practice, allowing us to congregate at the end of the evening.
Carol Singing Evening - 21st December
We visited homes of our advisory and members and raised around £80 (yet to be finalised) for charity. Thank you to our hosts for lubricating us and supplying us with fabulous food.

Truro Primestock Show - 6th December
Well done to everyone who took part in the primestock show, it was great to see the boys (& Katie) also competing and entering their silage, potatoes, corn etc to get the St Columb YFC name out and about. We collected the Henry Carveth trophy for the YFC club with most point in the domestic section which is fantastic beating off competition from Falmouth, Helston & St Keverne, Praze and Threemilestone YFC's. Nicola also won the trophy for the photography section. Well done to everyone who entered (if I have got the results wrong below please let me know).

Bingo - 2nd December
Thank you to everyone from the local community who supported our Christmas Bingo. We raised around £200 profit at the bingo and had superb prizes on the night with a huge raffle so hopefully everyone will want to attend our next one at Easter!.
County Indoor Sports - 25th November
The competition was yet again fierce, it was great to see everyone putting everything into it and St Columb came in 3rd place which is fantastic out of the 20 clubs that competed.
Wadebridge Primestock - 13th November
With most of our girls at University, entries were a little lower than usual but we still managed to enter quite a few and our cubicle came =2nd
Trebuddanon Disco - 4th November
This was a great disco with roughly 300 people attending and partying until 3 o'clock in the morning.
