We recently came into possession of photos from the first fire that struck the firehouse in 1977.  We would like to thank John Kijak Sr. for his generosity in providing us with these photos.

Just after department units cleared from an unfounded building fire on DEkalb St., Quint 31 and Engine 32 were dispatched for at stand-by assignment at Station 27-D (Fairmount) while Norristown units operated at the scene of a dwelling fire on Stanbridge St. The engine and quint stood-by for a half an hour before being released by Norristown Command.

Utility Production Pushed Back

We received word from Reading last week that our new utility body will not be ready until the end of July.  We were informed that production of all custom Reading products have been pushed back because of the current auto industry crisis.  The completion time frame is currently unknown, check back for more updates.

About Us

The Good Will Fire Company of Bridgeport, established in 1915,  has been serving the Borough of Bridgeport  proudly for over 90 years.  We are the younger of two stations that make up the Bridgeport Fire Department.  Along with our sister company, Bridgeport Fire Company #1, we provide a population nearing 5,000 citizens spread out over .66 square miles of primarily residential and commercial areas with fire suppression, rescue services and fire prevention programs.  We also provide mutual aide to several surrounding municipalities.  We currently have an ISO rating of 4.
