Dear Brothers:
I hope all is well with yourself and your families.
I would like to thank Mike McHugh and his staff for the wonderful job they did with the Soccer challenge on October 4th a Miller Field, we had over 50 participants and almost all councils send representatives to assist.
I would like to also thank of the brothers who showed up and marched in the Columbus Day parade on the fifth. My count at the parade showed we had 30 marchers, down from last year but a nice showing anyway.
I would like to thank Alex Weir, the house chairman and the kitchen crew at Staten Island council for the wonderful job they did with the inter chapter dinner that was held on October 6th. We had 8 chapters attend, with over 100 people in attendance. Several of the Chapter Chairman came up to me to thank us for the hospitality that was extended. By the way, Bill Venturini prepared and had printed a Chapter Directory for the meeting, we will give out extras at the October chapter meeting.
Monday, October 20, 2008 will be the installation of officers for the Staten Island Chapter at 8:00 pm. This is an open meeting, there will be some business conducted but your wives and families are invited to attend.
Wednesday, October 29, 2008 will be the 40th annual Knights/Mason dinner at the Staaten. The dinner which starts at 7:00 is being hosted by the Knights this year, see your Grand Knight for tickets which are $35.00 apiece.
Fraternally,
Tony Russo
Chapter Chairman
