For the first time in Months, I'm active again. No, I don't mean physically (not that it wouldn't hurt) I mean that the site is finally active! I started this site with a friend of mine back in.... June or July of 2007, but back in December we decided to hang up the reigns on the company for a long time, tak a break.
So, Josh.... is still the same as he was before.... but now I have a small size of the internet of my own. My Blog, which is a branch off of S-Villesite Network, my LARGE Smallville Fansite, which I began in January, is a blog all about comics and... nerdy stuff. My blog can be found here. It is called Mr. Geekman.
S-Villesite Network is a Smallville Fansite, which kind of branched off of the Project Superman idea... only it was a website and had nothing to do with the story. Now honestly, I haven't a clue how many people have ever seen or heard of us in the last few months. But It's my hope that as soon as I post it on S-Villesite that our old site is back up, people will get curious (Its human nature) and check us out, maybe giving us a chance for a fresh start.
Also, another site I began is Supernatural Fanville, a fansite dedicated the the hit TV Show Supernatural. You can find that here.
Lastly, since May... possibly before then, I have been in contact with Matt Thompson, my now friend whom I trust and hope to reboot the S-Villesite Podcast with and I hope to be on his Show as well. Matt also has a blog, Mattsville, which you can view here. His smallville fansite, Smallville Gone Bizarre, can be viewed by clicking here.
So as of... 3:56 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2008, in New York, Hyperspace Comix is now a part of the S-Villesite Network.
Hello again. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy with High School. Anyway, since we shelved the Star Wars projects, I decided to put all of the story I had written for Star Wars The Other: Quest for Darkness. I solely changed the title today after closing the project. For character bios on all characters and more, go to the Star Wars Fanon Wiki. (see our links section of this site) While there is not much, this is all I wrote, having to re-write the whole thing after writing a book and having our publisher reject it. So, since this has taken me nearly ten months, I am proud to present Star Wars The Other: The Darkness Within. *Note: Since this is not the completed story the whole story of each character is on their bios at the Fanon Wiki.*Star Wars The Other: The Darkness Within An Original novel by Troy A. Hillman _________________________________________________________ Prolouge Yavin IV, The Yavin System It was dark that night. It was also raining and extremely damp. Vezz Zaranoth, a 19 year old Jedi Knight, could smell the burnt, crispy odor of dead corpses from the previous battles. Vezz was ready. Ready for the final struggle. The last battle, he believed, that he would fight. Vezz prepared for the worst. He wrapped himself up in his cloak, to keep warm from the pouring rain. It was getting dark. He heard someone approach. It was his master, Tviel'k Ajhoh. Tviel'k motioned for Vezz to follow him. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. After they were out of site of the Clone camp, Tviel'k expressed his concern for a premonition he had while meditating."Vezz, I had a premonition while I was meditating. It was about the Clones. Vezz, do you ever think that we are on the wrong side?" "No master, we are fighting against an enemy who in the past wished to enslave the republic. We are fighting for the good of the galaxy." "Be wary, my young apprentice. Sides are only a point of view. Be careful not to trust your emotions. Remember, Fear is the-" "Fear is the path to the dark side. I know. Master?" "Yes?" "I'm a Jedi Knight now. Not an apprentice." "Right. We'd better get moving. General Kenobi instructed that we wait at the camp until sunrise. That is the time we will move in." "Hey master? I believe it is sunrise." He was right. They had been talking for far to long. It was already time. "Men!" Tviel'k shouted. "Move out!" YES SIR! Was the reply he received from the troopers. It was time. Time to end this. Time for the Clone Wars to be put at an end. Vezz could not believe what they were about to do. Would General Grevous be at this camp? Could they end the war? No one knew. All they knew was that this may be the last battle of their lives. Vezz looked at Tviel'k. He began to think of the events preceding in his life. He started to reflect on his past._________________________________________________________ Chapter One -FOUR YEARS EARLIER- Coruscant At the age of fifteen, just a year before the Clone Wars, Vezz was found in the slums by a Jedi Master named Tviel'k Ajhoh. Tviel'k could sense that the force was strong in Vezz. Vezz didn't like his life living with his parents in the slums, so when Tviel'k asked his parents if he could train the boy, they didn't really care. So, Tviel'k took him to the Jedi Temple, but he was denied since he was much too old to become an apprentice. As they were leaving the council chambers, Jedi Grand Master Yoda stopped Tviel'k. He said, "Train the boy, you will. Great potential sense I in him. Agree with you the council does not, however, agree I do. Vezz Zaranoth your apprentice will be."-Sometime Later-Vezz completed his trials. He was now a Jedi apprentice. Trained by a Jedi Master. But he was still stuck on Coruscant. He was born on Coruscant, in Nelona of 38 BBY. He had a brother, but he was gone. His brother had died. His parents hated him. The only family he really had was his master. He looked to him as a father. Tviel'k walked in the room. Vezz was laying on the floor, flipping his practice lightsaber in the air, catching it, igniting it, them receding it. He looked up. Tviel'k looked unamused. Vezz apologized. Then, his master spoke up. "Vezz, we've just been given an assignment. We're going to the Outer Rim Territories." Vezz thought about his first assignment for a moment. "Let's go."________________________________________________________ Chapter Two It was then when Vezz thought about his family. If he didn't survive, would they care? No. they wouldn't. They never had. It was time to attack the camp. "Master? Do you remember 3 years ago when I was about to turn 16, our first mission, the mission to Dantooine?" "Indeed I do Vezz. Indeed I do. No more distractions. Time to move out. Grevious might be here. If he is, we will need to act quickly and swiftly."Vezz, Tviel'k, and the army of Clones prepared to enter. They had surrounded the camp. What was the next move? Who would strike first? Then, Vezz heard a blast. Tviel'k collapsed. Vezz rushed over to his fallen master as the clones rushed in. A battle ensued among the Republic and CIS. Vezz saw a nearby cave. He dragged his wounded master over to the cave. It was 19 BBY, right before anyone found out about the real location of Grevous. Then, Vezz had a holocall. They had found Grevous on Yavin 4. That is what the Holo of Chancellor Palpatine said. So, after the battle, was off to Yavin 4. Little did they know that Grevous HAD been found. At that moment, Obi-Wan Kenobi had been fighting against General Grevous, the former Kaleesh Warlord called Qymaen Jai Sheelal. They had been tricked by Palapatine.Tviel'k was getting patched up at the MedCenter while the Clones were preparing to make the jump to light speed. Then, there they were. They had arrived at Yavin 4. They soon landed on the surface. As soon as the set up camp, Tviel'k, still feeling horrible, rested. Vezz stayed awake, aware that the clones were moving around suspiciously. He went outside the Jedi tent, and snuck up on a clone. He saw a clone, standing, waiting for his orders. Then, his holo opened up. All of the sudden, Vezz saw a person who looked very similar to Plapatine. But Palpatine wasn't disfigured. Then Vezz heard someone talking. He heard, "Execute Order... 66." "It will be done my Lord." It was then when Vezz realized that his master was right. The clones were about to betray the Jedi, and "Lord Palpatine" was the cause of it. Vezz ran in to warn his master. They ran out of the tent and headed toward the shuttle. There, the clones were waiting. Vezz knew this was to be the end of the Jedi.- Four Years Earlier- It was time for Vezz's first mission. Tviel'k, his Jedi master, motioned for Vezz to get on the shuttle. Tviel'k told Vezz where they were going the previous day, to the Outer Rim Territories. Vezz glanced over at the control panel while in flight. It said that their destination was Dantooine. Vezz was excited. It would be the first time in his life that he would be on a different planet besides Coruscant. He had spent his entire life there. From the day he was born until that day, (which happened to be his 16th birthday) he had been stuck on Coruscant. Now, he was free. Free... except enslaved. In a way. Enslaved to be a guardian of peace and justice. But that wasn't so bad. He thought. Anyway, he was excited to be on his first mission. He would be back on Coruscant and alive, he hoped, with his master for their next assignment soon. Eventually, he would become a Jedi Knight. He was ready to begin the journey. * * *Drako was running through the city. He was trying to hide from the raiders. He saw at least 50 of them. Drako knew they were on Tantooine, but what were they doing on Dantooine? He didn't care. He just ran. Drako found out the hard way that it is hard to outrun a Tusken Raider. They caught him and took him to a camp where they tortured him. Drako thought that this was his end. Perhaps it was. Perhaps he would never see the suns anymore. He was sorrowful. He probably wouldn't last the night. * * *Vezz and Tviel'k landed at the spaceport. Vezz was finally to Dantooine. He was ready for anything. "Don't get too cocky." His master told him. He wasn't cocky. At least he thought he wasn't. He dropped to the ground. A metal panel hit him. Tviel'k smiled. Vezz got up, scratched his head and turned for the exit to the spaceport. "Everybody remember where we parked!" Vezz exclaimed. * * *Drako woke up. He had no hope to survive. He was a teenager and was going to die. But maybe not. He wished that Silvia was there. He wanted to see his mom one last time. But she was gone, she had died on an away mission when she worked for that blasted Jedi Order. Drako lived alone with his father. But of course he would never see him again. * * *______________________________________________________________________________Chapter Three_______________________ Dantooine Tviel'k said to head toward the small MedCenter near the spaceport. They were on a mission to find Force-Sensitive children. Vezz tried to find the Center, but as usual, Vezz had to snoop around and find other things. He saw a father wandering around the streets calling for his son, who he must have called Drako.Vezz thought about helping, but it wasn't his business. So he finally found the answer. He would help. The man said that his son told him that he was going to Gera Station, room 76. So, since his son was not back after nine hours, he went to the station to find him. He wasn't there at the station, but he saw his things there, plus something else. A gaffie stick. These were used by Tusken Raiders. He began to search the station, then the spaceport, and Vezz saw him searching the city.Vezz remembered that he heard of a large caravan carrying Jedi that recently arrived from Dantooine. The Raiders may have snuck on board the caravan and taken control, landing and hiding from the Townsfolk. "I have to go. I may know where your son is." Vezz took off running. He knew where the camp was. Drako had help on the way, * * * Drako wanted to stop the pain. He wanted to die. He had no idea that his savior was on the way. Drako had no idea what age he was, because his "father" never told him. His dad was actually his step dad. His step dad had killed his real Father in the arena, where they were fighting over his Mother. Guess who won. Since then, His step dad had actually bought him, because he was a slave. Drako was now his step-father's slave. * * *Vezz ran as fast as he could, stopping only to rest every few minutes. Vezz was almost there. He could sense it. Soon, he could see the camp. Vezz approached cautiously. He saw a Raider come out of the tent. Vezz came up behind him and grabbed his throat. He stabbed the raider through his throat. Vezz quietly changed into the garments the raider was wearing. He got ready to sneak in the tent. * * *Drako heard a lightsaber ignite. He heard the garments being removed. Whatever was out there was not very quiet. Then, someone who was much taller than a tusken raider walked in. He thought that he was about to be executed. Oh well. No one would miss him. Then, the raider began to take off his mask. It was a human. * * *Vezz took off his mask. He stared at the human. "Are you Drako?" "Who's asking?" "Vezz Zaranoth, Jedi of the Republic." "Jedi, huh? It's because of you karking Jedi that my mother is dead." Vezz gave him a blank stare. Your welcome for saving your life. Vezz thought. Darko got up, free. That's when the real raiders walked in. "Grab the Gaffi Stick next to you!" Vezz exclaimed. That's when the struggle began. Vezz swung his saber, successfully using the Form VI move. Drako realized that Vezz hadn't been kidding. He was a Jedi. There may be hope yet, Drako thought to himself. A tusken attacked from the side, tackling Vezz and ripping the tent down. Vezz was lying on the ground with a Tusken above him ready to kill. Then Vezz realized it. These aren't Tusken Raiders! These are huands! (Huands are a cross of Droids and Humans)Vezz jumped off and tore the mask off. Then the skin. The half breed felt no pain whatsoever. It was ugly though. "You Huands think you own the universe! Feel the cold of my saber you worthless piece of-" Something was coming fast up the valley. Vezz could see clearly who is was. Tviel'k jumped of a speeder and cut the Huand in two. He gave Vezz a look. He turned to Drako and threw him on the speeder bike. He told the teenager to go home. Tviel'k looked at Vezz. Vezz stared at the hot sand surrounding them. "Why did you wander off? Why did you disobey a direct order?" "Master I-" "Vezz, I am saying that you did not do the right thing. You saved a life, and That is all that matters. I took care of the assignment. Get back to the spaceport. I have business to take care of." As usual, Vezz disobeyed. He found the boy's father, and explained that he would be back to save Drako. When Drako entered the room, Vezz said, "I'll see you next time Drako..." "Elcarna. Drako Elcarna. But this is it. No more. I'll never see you again. So never mind. Thanks Vezz."As he left, he could hear Drako being whipped by his stepfather. There was nothing he could do about it. Yet. Vezz headed to the spaceport. When Tviel'k asked where he had gone, he said a cantina for food. Vezz didn't want his master to know about his planned apprentice. Not yet. Then, the Shuttle took off. Vezz had his first assignment, and It turned out to be great. But, time to head back to Coruscant. Time to head home.-Four Years Later- Vezz had to act quickly. Would he take on all of the Jedi? Would he have to die for his beliefs? He knew what he had to do. He ran up to his master. They were surrounded by clones, around them in a circle. Vezz and Tvel'k were back-to-back. There was no escape. They would die here. His records would say, Vezz Zaranoth , Died: Clone Wars on Yavin 4. He thought that maybe if he helped the clones he would be spared. He prepared for the most hurtful thing he had ever done.Vezz turned around and impaled Tviel'k Ajhoh in the heart. He dropped to the ground. The clones gave a look that Vezz could tell saying he was on their side. Then, delving deep within the dark side, to deep, Vezz let out a burst of energy that wiped out the five-hundred troopers standing around him. He was alone. He was thought to be dead by Palpatine. Good. He wanted it to stay that way. Vezz was dead. * * *Grand Jedi Master Yoda felt a great loss in the Force. He looked on the battlefield, and noticed the attack was changing. They were winning the war. Yoda heard the footsteps. He heard them coming. Acting quickly, the clones were slain. Yoda had evaded death. The two Wookies with him, Tarful and Chewbacca, were ready to accompany him to a ship. He had to get to the Jedi Temple. He had to stop the clones. Palpatine had betrayed th Jedi Order. * * *Vezz was immersing himself in something he couldn't control. He was becoming one with the dark side of the force. So deep that he began hearing other Sith's thoughts. Then, he heard a familiar tone. It was Palpatine's. He concentrated hard on Palpatine's thoughts. Then, Vezz knew what he was planning. He knew what he had been planning for at least 20 years. Palpatine, whom Vezz discovered was the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, was planning a Galactic Empire, with the perfect Apprentice at his side. Vezz realized that his apprentice was none other than Anakin Skywalker. He had claimed the title of Vader. Darth Vader.Vezz knew that this newly discovered Thought Ability could come in handy, so he practiced for many hours before realizing what he must do. Vezz took his master's motionless body and began a fire. He burned his master's body. Outside, he felt sorrow, inside however, he felt anger. Rage. He enjoyed it. It made him feel strong. He took the shuttle and jumped to lightspeed. He headed toward Coruscant.Vezz landed at a docking port in Coruscant. He took a speeder and headed for the Jedi Temple. When he arrived, he snuck in. He hid, and waited. He saw Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi looking at security recordings. When they left, Vezz went over to the console. He looked into the recordings. His new power had uncovered the truth. Vader and Sidious must be stopped. He snuck in while Palpatine gave his speech. He saw Padme, alive. He knew her. She was the wife of Anakin Skywalker. He had known ever since Anakin confessed to his master. They had been close. He had to protect her from Vader. Vader, he knew, was on Mustafar. When Vader and Sidious were engaged in battle, he could hear the pain and choices of Sidious and Vader. He didn't have to defeat them. Other Jedi would. He would... go into hiding. He would go to the first place he could think of. Dantooine. To get his apprentice.Vezz took a starfighter from the Jedi Temple. He named it The Fall. Then, He was off to Dantooine. Vezz arrived at the spaceport. Vezz noticed that nothing changed since he was there four years ago. Vezz looked for that person. What was his name? Draco? Drago? No, it was... Drako! Drako Elcarna! He searched, and when he arrived, he saw Drako cleaning up deathsticks and putting them in a box. Then, he turned around. "You're that Jedi!" "No, I am not a Jedi. I am a Sith. I am Darth Zezik.""Darth what? The Sith are gone!" "The Sith will never leave. I am a Sith, and I wish to take you away from here. I told you I'd return." "I... have a step father. He..." "Must be killed." "But-" "I will teach you. I will show you how to find the power within." Vezz and Drako went to a nearby cave where Vezz trained Drako for half a day. When Drako returned home, his father got his whip and was about to beat Drako. Then, Drako Force Choked him, then zapped him with lightning, and finally, took Zezik's lightsaber and stabbed his stepfather through the throat. "I am Darko Elcarna no more. I am Darth Maldorn."_________________________________________________________ Chapter Four Maldorn and Zezik decided on a certain spot to train. The cave they found after fighting the Huands. Vezz and Drako were gone. They were murdered by Zezik and Maldorn. Or so the Galaxy would think. -Nineteen Years Later-Zezik took The Fall and within hours was out of the Galaxy. As Maldorn looked on, he tried to understand why his master left. Zezik had left the Galaxy and moved on to the next. That being, Maldorn began to think that he needed an apprentice of his own. Sardoc, the other apprentice Zezik had taken on after Maldorn rose in the Sith ranks, was left with Sardoc. He would be his new apprentice. * * *General Reenum Deejam was prepping his troopers for another attack against the Rebellion. General Deejam was a force-sensitive Gotal born on the planet of Antar 4 in the Prindaar System. He had been raised by the Jedi since he was a little boy, when he accidentally wandered aboard The Great Junk, a cruiser, when he was two and was found by the Jedi when the pilot landed on Coruscant."We're ready when you are General." That was the voice of a Stormtropper. When Order 66 came, Sidious found Deejam and made him one of the Emperor's Hands. He was now a Dark Jedi, serving the Galactic Empire. The End... For Now.
Hey guys, just me, Troy Hillman. I just got a copy of the new issue and all I have to say is WOW. It was a totally awesome issue and one of the best yet. I got some scans of the comic, a summary, and a preview of it online. (see end of this entry, The LINKS section) I hope you get to read these fantastic issue so here is the summary!:Krayt took Cade to his chambers alongside Darth Talon and Darth Wyyrlok, leaving both Lady Maladi and Lord Nihl outside. There, Krayt gave food to Cade and revealed he had once been a Jedi, A'Sharad Hett. He then began to tell Cade about his life.
Believing himself the only Jedi to have survived what would become known as the Great Jedi Purge, Hett made his way back to his homeworld of Tatooine, once again taking up his heritage and donning the wrappings of a Tusken Raider, and became a war leader of several Tusken clans, like his father before him. While on Tatooine, Hett led the clans against human settlements that had encroached on Tusken lands, while at the same time silently preparing for his own private war against the Galactic Empire.
Hett's leadership and skills, honed in the Clone Wars, did much to reverse the losses the Tuskens had suffered since the death of his father. The Tuskens became a feared fighting force again, reclaiming land they believed was rightfully theirs. But when Hett's clans reached the boundaries of the small moisture farm of Owen Lars, they were stopped, to Hett's surprise and shock, by his former Jedi comrade, Obi-Wan Kenobi, now himself living in exile on the desert world. Kenobi had noticed Hett's activities in his exile, and believed Hett was frighteningly close to the dark side, becoming the very thing he was claiming to fight. He begged Hett to stop his crusade there and now (not mentioning to Hett exactly why he had chosen to defend this small farm), but Hett refused to listen; the settlers and farmers had killed countless Tuskens, and blood called out for blood. With little choice, both Jedi ignited their lightsabers and fought a brutal duel on the desert flat, with the entire Tusken army watching them.
The duel ended with the loss of Hett's right arm, and the extra humiliation of having his mask removed. To the Tuskens, to expose any part of the flesh is forbidden, and with one hand, Hett could not hope to wield the tradition Tusken weapon, the gaderffi. The clans turned on him and departed without a word spoken. Hett was now an outcast, and asked Kenobi to finish him off. But Kenobi would not kill his old comrade. Instead, he made Hett swear on the honor of his late father that he would leave Tatooine and never return, hoping that one day, Hett would see the error of his ways and again take up the Jedi way. But it would not happen; in fact, decades after the fact, Hett learned that the very moisture farm Kenobi had been defending concealed the son of Anakin Skywalker, who was, as he would also learn, the man who had destroyed the Jedi Order. When he realized that Skywalker and Darth Vader were one, Hett bitterly regretted protecting Skywalker's bloody secret; to have turned him in then, Hett believed, would have spared the galaxy untold suffering.
