To get the most from the supergroup here are some top tips to get settled in: -
1. Team Up
Team up. Other SG members will usually be delighted to team with you regardless of level; that's what side kicking/exemplaring is for :)
2. SG Nights
We have an SG night every tuesday and Friday for which members are encouraged to team up. Tuesdays are for any alt but Friday is 'Star Alt' night and is specifically for alts we have made for the SG; apperance is mostly optional but the name must have 'Star' in it somewhere and at 20 they must create a star costume according to this guideline although there is always the option for individual expression.
3. Stars Global Chat Channel
Make full use of the Stars global chat channel. Stars Chat means that you can chat to members of Stars United regardless of whether they are on City of Heroes, City of Villan, Union or Defiant . To enable SU Chat for your other characters simply right click the Chat tab and select Edit. This opens the tab edit window. Select Stars from the list and click the Add button. You will then be able to read and reply to Stars United chat with that character. You need to enable this chat channel for all your characters as each character can have different chat preferences.
NB: Unforutnatley the game has a bug where global chanels will occasionally be deleted. In this event the channel will be recreated and all members will be informed via the forum.
Stars are are members of the Shadow Coalition who have a chat channel which you can join. Please post your interest on the forum and arrangements shall be made.
3. The forum
It is highly recomended that you register on the Stars United forum. If are experiencing difficulties registering please let someone know either in the supergroup channel or via SU Chat. The forum is used to discuss topics relating to the game as well as anything else you wish to share. It is also used to organise Task Forces and Strike Forces and as well as co-ordinate things like the seasonal events. Being a member of the forum also gives you right to to influence the development of the supergroup and the content of its websites.
