First, can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about your career so far?
My name is Teddy Geiger and I’m from Rochester, NY. I just recently signed with Columbia Records in February and made my first album called Underage Thinking which will be out this Valentine’s Day.
Did you pick the date for the release? It’s a cute day for it to come out.
No, I don’t know who exactly picked it but someone at Columbia did.
Have you started shooting "Love Monkey" yet?
No, well, I shot the pilot episode. "Love Monkey" just got picked up for a midseason debut so I should be starting to shoot episodes in November.
How do you plan to balance being an actor on "Love Monkey", as well as your music career?
I have no idea. I guess while I’m filming "Love Monkey" I just won’t be able to do shows and vice versa.
Do you prefer playing bigger stadiums (like the Hilary Duff tour) or smaller club venues?
They’re both different and both cool. The Hilary Duff tour was cool because no matter what the crowd went crazy because it was just a bunch of pumped little girls.
For all the aspiring talent all over the world, what advice can you give to them?
Don’t sleep in a lake house that has a cat when you’re allergic to cats because that’s never good. Never be around allergens basically. [Teddy had bad allergies when I interviewed him. Aw, we at SSP hope he feels better asap!]
Do you like playing shows in Rochester or is it weird playing for people you know?
No it’s really cool! A lot of my friends come out and see me so it’s a lot of fun.
What's you're favorite concert you've played based on fans, quality of music, and location?
Miami because it was one of the bigger venues I’ve played.
What kind of music are you listening to now? What’s in your cd player?
A lot of Ben Folds is in my cd player right now.
How do your friends and family react to you being in the show business?
They’re very supportive and love watching me do my thing.
Do they come to a lot of your shows? I know there’s a lot here supporting you today.
Yeah, mostly they come to the shows that are closer to them. On this tour they saw me a few times.
What would you like to say to your fans who will be reading this?
Thanks for listening to my music, coming to my shows and supporting me.
