21 June 2006 I was passing through Pocket D and managed to catch a glimpse of hereos hanging out in nothing more than swimwear. There was Cosmic Comet is his cool dude board shorts and Tiger Slash in with his stripey legs out. Redblast arrived wearing an outfit that didn't leave much to the imagination.
I could not make sense of what the heroes would be doing striping off into their swimwearn and lining up in Pocket D. Then I sighted Mercury Star liasing with a villain. The villain was Ghost Angel. Both wore swimsuits that reflected the colours of the summer sun.
The villains started to arrive. First on the scene was Darkening Lady but she was shortly followed by others. The heroes and villains stood side by side in swimwear each unique and showing off their individual style. It seemed Mercury Star and Ghost Angel were organising this unusal crowd. Even with Ghost Angel wearing nothing more than skimpy golden speedos I still did not feel brave enought to speak to him so I decided to interview Mercury Star and discover what was happening.
'You and Ghost Angel seem to be in charge, I was wondering if you could let StarDust Times in on what is going down?'
We are celebrating Summer Solstice by holding a swimwear contest for heroes and villains. Inf helps to continue thier development.
'So you support the development of villains?'
Maybe villains would not want to steal if they had no reason to.
'What do you get out of this?'
Onyxite in speedos, Tiger Slash's stripey legs and many more similar reasons. Need I say more?
Mercury Star was then called away by Ghost Angel to discuss the winners. They seemed deep in discussions for some time. Finally they decided on Redblast, Burnt Beach Babe and Cosmic Comet as the Hero winners and Twiglet, Pollensia and Darkening Lady as villain winners. The winners were moved to another area to have their pictures taken.
Whilst Mercury Star was awarding the winning heroes their influence it was discovered that Burnt Beach Babe was infact a villain. She was therefore not entitled to any influence. Mercury Star and Ghost Angel entered into discussions and decided to award Launa 69 a default third place and arranged for Burnt Beach Babe to have a villain runner up prize. The end result was: -

Burnt Beach Babe - awarded 1/2 mil (supergroup = none)
After the event I managed to get a quick word in with some of those that attended.
'Mercury Star, how do you feel the contest went?'
There were a few hiccups but all went well. I am going to have to get back to work, coz I have just gone from being rich to being a little bit poor.
'Tiger Slash, I can't believe u didn't win, what happened?'
