The Siberian Husky Club of America offers a backpacking title for purebred Siberian Huskies. I have a link to the requirements below. I am working on this program with my Standard Poodle, Heidi. Backpacking is a fun sport for dogs and their owners. Unfortunately, the AKC only allows dogs in the working group to participate. If you have a dog from a different breed group, you might want to check into Dog scouts of America. they have an all-breed (mixed breeds welcome too!) pack dog program.
