Our special topics: July 13-17
Language Arts/Reading/Writing
We will be learning rules and procedures this week. We will get to know each other, our classroom, and school.
Math Topic:-
In math we will learn how to sort by color and size.
Science/Social Studies/Healthy Living Topic:
We will have free choice centers this week to explore our classroom, socialize, and make friends.
Activities to do at Home...
Practice writing your name correctly; first letter capital and the rest lowercase.
Sort something at home such as cereal, socks, coins, toys, etc.
Read with your child each night for 10 minutes. Discuss the title, author, and illustrator.
Upcoming Events
Our year will begin with a theme called, "A Beary Good Beginning". Please let your child bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to school on Wednesday and Thursday. Please make sure it fits in their backpack.
JUST A REMINDER...
Please return all paperwork, asap.
Please send 1 snack each day. No juice, please. Your child may get water from the fountain, fill a cup with water or bring in a water bottle.
Please try to adhere to due dates. I know life is busy, but check backpacks daily and return forms by the date indicated!!
Save Boxtops and send them in!
Please return library books each Monday! We need to get them checked in so your child can check out a new one.
Please discuss your child's work with them over the weekend from their Friday folder. All school/PTA/class information will be in the purple folder inside the Friday folder. Please sign and return the behavior note each Monday. Please sign the Friday folder as well.
Please keep money on your child's lunch account. Help them MEMORIZE their lunch number!
Please send ONE healthy snack each day. No juice, please- only water. You can bring a cup to fill up with water, or a water bottle. We have a water fountain in the room. They may go to the fountain and drink as they wish also.
Just a reminder...We cannot have homemade products sent in for class consumption. Only commercially purchased food can be given to the class. Also, balloons are not allowed at school due to latex allergies. THANKS!

If your child's transportation changes, please send a note or call the school to inform me.
Please check bookbags daily in case we send home folders with important info.
