Ik ben een beginnend minipaardenfokker. In 1999 kocht ik mijn eerste merrieveulen Julia van een plaatselijke kinderboerderij. Ze had een kameraadje nodig, dus kocht ik de iets grotere ruin Puck in Kamerik.
Ik verhuisde naar Stal Westerparck, waar mijn paardjes buitenboxen kregen. Dus ging ik op zoek naar dekentjes en andere handige dingen, niet gemakkelijk, want je kon toen nog bijna niets voor de kleintjes kopen. Door een advertentie kreeg ik contact met Jacqueline Jaspers-Boer (van Jacky Stables), die mij aanmoedigde mijn paardjes te laten registreren bij het N.M.P.R.S. En zo is alles begonnen.
Toen Julia vier jaar oud was, ben ik met haar voor het eerst naar de jaarlijkse Merriekeuring in Bunschoten geweest. Dat was in 2003 en ze kreeg een 2e premie. Dat stimuleerde me om het nog eens te proberen. In 2004 raadde de jury mij aan om als ik een mooi veulentje van Julia wilde hebben, ik haar moest laten dekken door een Luxe hengst. Ik volgde hun advies op en Darling is het resultaat! Julia kreeg in totaal 3 x een 2e premie en daar ben ik erg trots op.

I have just started as a miniature horse breeder. In 1999 I bought my first filly Julia from a local childrens' farm. She needed company, so I bought the slightly larger gelding Puck in Kamerik.
I moved to Stal Westerparck, where my horses had open boxes. So I went looking for blankets and other useful things, not easy, because in those days you could hardly get anything for the little ones in Holland. Through and advertisement I got in touch with Jacqueline Jaspers-Boer (from Jacky Stables), who encouraged me to register my horses with the N.M.P.R.S. (the Dutch miniature horse society). And thus it all started.
When Julia was four I went to the yearly show in Bunschoten with her for the first time. This was in 2003 and she received a 2nd permium. This stimulated me to try again. The 2004-jury advised me to breed Julia to a Luxe stallion if I wanted a beautiful foal. I followed their advise and Darling is the result. In total, Julia received a 2e premium 3 times and I'm very proud of that.
