          SS Rabbitry of York is located in the beautiful country setting of York, Pennsylvania. Susan and John Sheppard recently purchased this beautiful farm house that now houses 100 + holes for the rabbits. SS Rabbitry is a family operated rabbitry by John and Susan Sheppard and their 4 kids, Susan's sister Kim Gardner and her 2 kids, their mom Sue Barker and a really close friend Tony. Susan, also known as Chrissy, and her sister Kim raised rabbits throughout their 4-H years. Now that their children have started 4-H they have gone back to do their favorite hobby and started a family rabbitry.

         SS Rabbitry of York raises Mini Rex and Standard Rex. In Mini Rex we raise BEW, Castor, Chin, Himi, Opal, Otter, Seal, Tort and Brokens in several varieties listed above. In Rex we raise Black, Black and Blue Otter, Blue, Broken, Californian, Castor, Sable and Whites.  

We have had a great start with our Rabbits with the help of several Rabbitries from around the Country!

We are doing a complete make-over on our site! We will be posting many jrs. up for sale in the next week and will be offering several of our brood animals as well :) We have decided to sell out of our Standard Rex, so we will be offering much of our Rex herd at awesome prices! We have also decided that the girls will still be showing in youth, but Kim, John and I will be showing in Open as well. Not sure how the colors will be divided yet, but look for us on the tables :)
