About the Foundation

Sr. Valeriana Baerts Foundation is an organization managed by persons with disabilities, providing opportunities to develop social, economic and spiritual life of persons with disabilities in the Philippines and their families. 

Guided by the vision of Sr. Valeriana, the Foundation was established in 1995 by a group of disabled individuals who were beneficiaries of scholarship grants and other educational programs through the organizations and centers founded by Sr. Valeriana.  It was established with the primary goal of assisting deserving persons with the disabilities obtain education and be able to live independently and advocate on their own behalf.

Our Mission

1.  To promote education, both formal and informal, for persons with disabilities and their families through scholarship programs;

2.  To provide technical and financial assistance to groups and projects identified with, initiated by or endorsed by Sr. Valeriana Baerts, ICM;

3.  To advocate for the rights of PWD's;

4.  To provide continuous education, values formation and personal development to all members;

5.  To establish network and linkages to local and international organizations;
