yah pathet prayat puman
vishnoh padam vapnoti bhaya shoka divarjitah

A person given to the study of the sacred scripture of Geeta is freed from fear and grief. Such a person attains the abode of the Lord Vishnu

geeta dhyayan sheelasya
pranayam parasaya cha
naive santi hi papani
purvajanma kritani cha
|
|
A person devoted to the study of Geeta and practice of Pranayam (control of breath) is liberated from sins and fruits of actions of the past birth

mal nirmochanam punsam
jal snanam dine dine
sakrid geetam 'bhasi snanam
sansar mal nashnam
|
|
By bathing in water, day to day dirt of the body is washed away. By bathing even once in the holy water of Geeta, the whole mundane dirt is washed away

geeta sugeeta kartavya
kimanyaih shastra vistraih
ya svayam padmana bhasya
mukh padma dvinih srita
|
|
Geeta should be cheerfully sung; of what avail is the study of other elaborate scriptures for Geeta has emanated from the lotus lips of Lord himself

bharata mrit sarvasvam
vishnor vaktra dvinih sritam
geeta gangodakam peetva
punar janma na vidyate
|
|
Geeta, being the immortal words of Lord Vishnu, is the nectarine essence of the whole of Mahabharata. One who partakes the Ganges-like water of Geeta, for him there is no rebirth

sarvop nishado gavo dogadha gopal nandanah
partho vatsah sudhir bhokta dugdham geetam mritam mahat
|

All Upanishads are Cows; Gopal Nandana is the milker, Pratha (Arjuna) is the calf; the wise are the partakers of the milk divine-the nectar-of the Bhagwad Geeta

ekam shastram devakiputra geet meko devo devakiputra eva
eko mantras tasya namani yani karma payekam tasya devasya seva
