verse 3 O Paramtapa (Arjuna), people devoid of faith in this Dharma (way), do not attain Me, but return to the path of the mortal world
maya tatam idam sarvam jagad avyaktamurtina

verse 4 All this is permeated by Me in My unmanifested aspect (as ice by water), and, all beings exist in Me. Therefore, really speaking, I am not in them
na ca matsthani bhutani pasya me yogam aisvaram
bhutabhrn na ca bhutas ho mama 'tma bhutabhavanah
verse 5 Nay, those beings exist not in Me; but look at the wonderful power of My divine yoga, though the sustainer and creator of beings, Myself, in reality dwells not in those beings
ya ha 'kasasthito nityam vayuh sarvatrago mahan
atha sarvani bhutani matsthani 'ty upadharaya
verse 6 As the mighty air, moving everywhere ever remains in ether, even so, know that all beings abide in Me
sarvabhutani kaunteya prakrtim yanti mamikam
kalpaksaye punas tani kalpadau visrjamy aham
verse 7 O son of Kunti (Arjuna), at the end of every kalpa (time cycle), all beings enter My Prakriti (the Prime Cause) and at the beginning of every kalpa, I bring them forth again
prakrtim svam avastabhya visrjami punah-punah
bhutagramam imam krtsnam avasam prakrter vasat
verse 8 Taking hold of My nature, I bring forth again and again, all this multitude of beings (according ot their respective karma) who are subject to the influence of nature (Prakrti)
na ca mam tam karmani nibadhananti dhanamjaya
udasinavad asinam asaktam tesu karmasu
verse 9 O Dhanamjaya (Arjuna), nor do these actions bind Me, for I am seated as if unattached, and indifferent in those actions
maya 'dhayaksena prakrtih suyate sacaracaram
hetuna 'nena kaunteya jagad viparivartate
verse 10 Under my guidance, nature (Prakrti) gives birth to the whole creation, moving and unmoving and by this means O Kunti (Arjuna), the world revolves
avajananti mam mudha manusim tanum asritam
param bhavam ajananto mama bhutamahesvaram
verse 11 Fools disregard Me as garbed in human form, not knowing my supreme nature, the great Lord of all beings

raksasim asur im cai 'va prakrtim mohinim sritah
verse 12 The senseless persons of vain hopes, vain actions, vain knowledge partake the deceptive nature of the fiendish and the demoniac, devoid of discriminaiton
mahatmanas tu mam partha davim prakrtim asritah
bhajanty ananyamanaso jnatva bhutadim avyayam
verse 13 The great souled, O Partha (Arjuna), who possess a divine nature, knowing Me as the prime cause of creation and imperishable, worship Me constantly with undivided mind

jnanayajnena ca 'py anye yajanto mam upasate
ekatvena prthaktvena bahudha visvatomukham
verse 15 Others offer worship of sacrifice of wisdom in oneness of self in all, yet others worship Me as distinct (by performance of knowledge-yajna in unity-oneness of self in all), , and yet others worship Me as the Vishwaroop, the manifold facing all directions

te punyam asadya surendralokam asnanti divyan divi devabhogan
verse 20 The knowers of the three Vedas, drinkers of Soma (the sap of Soma plant), purified of sin, worship Me by sacrifices for attainment of heaven. As a result of good deeds, they ascend to the world of the gods and enjoy the celestial pleasures in heaven
te tam bhuktva svargalokam visalam ksine punye martyalokam visanti
evam trayidharmam anuprapanna gatagatam kamakama labhante
verse 21 Having enjoyed the pleasure of the great world of heaven they come to the mortal world on exhaustion of their merits. Thus conforming to the injunction of the three Vedas and desirous of enjoyments, they repeatedly come and go from the mortal world to heaven and back
ananyas cintayanto mam ye janah paryupasate
tesam nityabhiyuktanam yogaksemam vahamy aham

yat tapasyasi kaunteya tat kurusva madarpanam
verse 27 O son of Kunti (Arjuna), whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer as oblation to the sacred fire, whatever you bestow as a gift; whatever you do by way of penance, offer it all to Me
