Clean Up

All pens/stalls must be cleaned prior to animal departure on Sunday!

Knowledge Tests
 
Participants in each livestock division will be required to take a knowledge test. 
(Novice, Jr., Int. and Sr.)
Resources are included with
the information for each livestock
area or in the Test Resources section of this website.
Good Luck!!  If you have any questions, ask your 4-H leader.

Dairy

Dairy showmanship will be held on Saturday morning.

Dairy animals from all 6 dairy breeds are expected to be at the fair. 
Do you know the different dairy breeds?

Beef

Beef showmanship will be held on Saturday afternoon.  Knowledge test questions will be taken from the Ohio State Beef Resource Guide.  Ask your leader or call the State 4-H Office for information on the publication.

Swine

The Swine show will be held on Sunday, June 29th at 10:00am.

Resources for the swine test are available from the Swine Club leader.  Knowledge test questions will be based on information in the Swine Resource Handbook.

Working Steer

Steer must arrive between 2-4 pm on Friday, June 27th and weigh in after being checked by the Vet.

The Show will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday in the small ring.

Classes:  Showmanship, Cart and Log Scoot and/or Distance (subject to change)

Questions for the knowledge test will be based on information in the:  UNH Working Steer Manual

*ALL ANIMALS MUST HAVE HORNS AND BULLS MUST BE CASTRATED*    

(we are following 4-H/Eastern States working steer rules)

Dairy Goat Show

This is a Dairy Goat Show and will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am

Showmanship, Fitting, Knowledge Test!

Knowledge test questions will be taken from the American Dairy Goat Association book.  This book will be available to all registrants and is also available through the American Dairy Goat Association.  For additional information contact the State 4-H Office.

Special Event this year!  A Goat kid Obstacle Course

Information will be sent to those register for the SRI 4-H Goat Show! 

Sheep

Show - Saturday 3 pm

Showmanship, Knowledge Test

Questions on the knowledge test will be based on information in the Sheep Production Guide (from the Sheep Industry Council) and Raising Sheep the Modern Way (from Storey Books)

The horse show is open to all registered RI 4-H members.
Be sure you have completed an enrollment form and are a registered 4-H member!!
The show will be held on Sunday beginning at 8 am.
