2008 SRI 4-H Fair

 Want a challenge?

Would you like to see just how much you know about livestock?  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a swine project, own a beef animal or what goes into a livestock project?  Here’s a contest just for you!

Overall Livestock Knowledge

Just complete an overall knowledge livestock test for your age group.

The overall top scorer in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions will win a special award.

Rules:

  1. Open to RI 4-Hers registered for the SRI 4-H Fair in the Junior (8-10 years old), Intermediate (11-13 years old) and Senior (14-18 years old) divisions.  All ages are as of January 1st, the “4-H age”.
  2. This year there is only one test.  This test includes ALL 10 livestock groups!! You do not need to pick 4 livestock divisions.  Test resources are listed on this site with the livestock test info.
  3. This is separate from the required knowledge test for livestock exhibitors.
  4. 4-Hers must take the test for their age group – either the Jr, Intermediate or Senior division
  5. Test must be completed and turned in to Susan W. for final tallying by Saturday, 5 pm.
  6. One overall knowledge winner in each age division will be presented with a special award.  Awards will be presented after Premier on Sunday.
  7. This is an optional competition.  Only the knowledge test in a 4-Hers animal division is required.
  8. All study resources for the different tests are listed in the test section of the SRI Fair website (freewebs.com/srifair) or contact your 4-H leader or the state office for materials
  9. Any questions, please call Kristy at the State 4-H Office (874-2959) or Susan.
