finally the season has started! i had our 1st practice today on a very wet wellington day. the track looks good with the new pole line etc. but it was to wet to get any decent speed up or have some fun. we were just sliding everywhere, i hit the wall semi-purposesly to see how the camera took it . but the spin was completely out of my controll i was just flicked around. here is the footage. enjoy
A positive finish to the season
Well my second season of racing is just one meeting short of coming to an end....so far my season has been great..we have been doing alot more traveling and i am happy with all of my results...my last meeting i am racing is the 'NZ' champs in Oxford in Christchurch. last year went well for me, i got 7th over all. hopefully i wont have anyengine troubles this year and everything goes to plan, also i am gettign my car very ready.
Final Night And Derby
My Final Race Night of the 05/06 season had come..... my 1st race didn't go so well i ended up getting a 5th..... from 7th... in the 2nd race we had an extremely messy start.I was pushed from behind into 77w Emma Scott which made her get the wobbles and slid out towards the wall.....then going round the corner i had no acceleration on what so ever and was still going as fast as the rest of them from being pushed. Then coming out of turn 2 8w Benji Sneddon and 19w Jason Kinsy got tangled Infront of me putting jason in the wall and almost rolling him...there was a restart. in the restart me and Jonas England got to a good start around the outside, he won the race...THEN TIME FOR THE DERBY... i got a good start to the derby...got to excited...went to fast got put into the wall head 1st and that was my race over...it had snapped my driveshaft clean in half...the car was still running but had no drive, It really did hurt.
April Challenge (ANZAC Champs)
On the 1st of April i had my april challenge......i started on grid 1 on the 1st race...got off to a good start and got away from the carnage, i just started Cruizing around because the track was slippery + i was leading by a straight. going past 1 of the lap cars i got a shunt from behind...it was 2nd place Jamie Larson... so i picked up the pase and won the 1st race. the 2nd race i started 8th and got 5th. in the 3rd race i was starting off 20th ....so to get anywhere in the championship i had to race the hardest i could......i went from 20th to 4th.....so i guess i did what i wanted to do...Race as hard as possible... i got 3rd over all... i was happy with that result...
Wanganui Invatations
I raced in Wanagnui on the 18/19 of March....all went well on qualifying and i qualified 3rd...on sunday my 1st race wasnt so good i got 7th......then in my 2nd race it was going well untill i went around the outside of a mount car who got hit by a rotorua car...into my and put me in the wall...hard....it prety much stoped my because i hit a rough spot on the wall and it pulled me in...then i was hit from behind which knocked my car out of gear then i was abul to keep on going at around 5000rpm in 2nd gear..hard hit..... i finished 7th overall....
Wellington champs
This was the night i had been waiting for for a long time...i wasnt to
ready for it tho....in the 1st race i went from 15th to 4th with no
problems except from 8w Benji Sneddon spining infront of me and when i
hit him with the front right corner he bounced up over my wheel and
basically wheel stood into the side of his car...his bumper was right
next to my head!!!!! then in the 2nd race i was on grid one next to
Declan Rowe 93p...me and Declan raced neck and neck to the 1st corner
where i got the better line of him the a few laps later he passed me
around the outside then he gained some distnce and me and him raced
like this for the rest of the race and i got a 2nd. then this was the
final..i was coming 2nd overall one point behind jordan arapere..i was
on grid 25 out of 26cars!! and sure enough as the feild took off my
ignition failed.....my car stoped so did my heart, i turned it of and
on again and away i went. I cought up to the back of the feild within
2laps and gaind about 7 positions then as i was goinground the corner
my ignition failed again.....so i spun out because my engine cut out.
BUGGER. everyone i had passed passd me again + i was being lapped. so
that was my race over. i just drove the rest of the race. i got 6th
over all and well done to Jamie Larson for wining it, Jordan Arapere
for 2nd and 9p Brett Whiting for coming 3rd in an awsome run off for
1st 2nd 3rd
Ministocks In Paradise
Ministocks have been and gone, i wasnt so lucky with my nights
racing...in the 1st race got a real good start and soon was in 4th,
then there was a red light and we all stoped as usual.. and i passed
2nd and 3rd on the green light and then settled for an easy 2nd in the
1st heat(note we only had 2 qualifying races) then in my 2nd and final
qualifying race i got an even better start and went from 15th to 6th on
the 1st straight. then going into the corner i got a shunt from behind
which caused me to spin up..then i was hit hed on and was facing
towards the wall....and as i went to take off again i just went in a
straight line and into the wall.... no steering then me thinking i had
no steering waving my thumbs down out the window but as i moved back
the bar that was sticking into my tyre came off.... STEERING but it was
to late..the red lights had come on and i was out for the rest of the
race..that was me for the night...

the wellington champs have been moved so i raced on that night any

stopping fast enough lol so that sucked. the rest of the nite ran
smoothely but in the last race i was t-boed and man did that hurt haha.
the 4th of feb was a...lets say interesting night of racing there was a
hell of alot of hitting done...... lots of talk about ppl taking
eachother out lots of reffs getting all pissy...i was ivolved in a few
incedents to that night lol....but no placings to be proud of.....
05-06 as it is
ok sorry for the lack of updates but i jst hvnt been botherd lately to do this lol but i now have time.
my season has been going well i have got a few wins under my belt so
that is good. i have got the wellington ministock champs this sunday
22.1.06 and i also have just got a new engine, i broke the other
one...the hole way though this season i have been sure it wasnt as fast
as it used to be...so finally i convinced dad to take it into the dyno
to geta tune up...they couldnt get i rite so they did a compression
check and sure enuf cylender no1 was down 40pounds of compression so
yea......not good....the rings had broken and torn the inside of the
cylenders so....new engine time lol. it is being dynoed today so that
will be good to c how it runs with a tune up....i will update after
this sunday and tell you how i am going and maybe get some videos up on
here for all of you to watch....

Wellington open night
Well the 1st night of racing in welly was last night and it was a really good night of racing!
there where no crashes and the night ran quite smoothly.
in the 1st race i started 5th and finished 1st. the 2nd race i got a 4th and same with the 3rd race.
the fire works display was a great display.
2004-05 season
The 04-05 season has ended, it was my 1st full season and i am all
round impressed with it. i havent won much but i won the wanganui best
pairs with jay from palmy. i got 2 1sts and a 2nd in that event.
thoughs were my 1st wins. in the welly ministock invation i was really
really excited about it and when i was sitting on the track waiting for
the lights to go green i my heart was thumping... the light went green
and i got a wicked start. buy the 1st corner i was coming 4th or 5th
and passed into 3rd going into turn 3. then a few laps went on and i
finally got into 2nd. i was so concentrated on getting into 2nd i didnt
realise an accident had happend infront of me.
the red lights had gone on and i hadnt seen this. i cam out of turn 4
and straight into the back of 1st place Chase Roony. i ripped my rf
corner off my bumper wrecked my suspention,it was a mess. and that was my nights racing over haha. After that night my season went well.
i went down to the new zealand ministock champs in oxford CHCH, along
with 6 other wellington drivers. the 1st day i qualified but i had
engine trouble. so that night we fixed the problem which was a leak in
a manifold gaskit. the final day came and my nerves were uncontrolable.
my day of racing went well and i made sure i was consistant. in the
final race i was staring off grid 2. when i started my gaskit got a
leak in it again and everyone went straight passed me. i tryed to hold
my position which was 5th for the race and only one guy got passed me
so i finished 6th.
i got 7th over all and that was my 04-05 season end.
....so to get anywhere in the championship i had to race the hardest i could......i went from 20th to 4th.....so i guess i did what i wanted to do...Race as hard as possible... i got 3rd over all... i was happy with that result...
