Squadron 40 is a collective of real METAL fans from and around Glasgow .
Like the Scottish national teams Tartan Army but with better music and more booze .
We are hoping to expand to members all over Scotland to promote the Scots Metal Scene.

| HISTORY AND MEANING |
Squadron 40 started at the first Bloodstock Open Air festival at Walton upon Trent on the 24th and 25th of june 2005.
The name Squadron 40 comes from the film Flash Gordon when one of the
founder members Div and a couple of cool blokes dress as monks started
doing Brian Blessed lines from the movie and has stuck with us from
then on.
Our goal is to plan and organize our lads trips to gigs and festivals
far and wide but to also promote the Scottish Metal Scene.
