Background The world is fill with corrupt politicians, law enforcement, and government.   This is nothing new, but what is new, is that demons have begun to show increased interest in our world. Many politicians, and government officials have been seen with demon marks, though no one can prove it. Many demons though have rebelled from the underworld, and have chosen instead to join the ranks of normal society, to try and find an answer to the many questions they have about the true motive of their demon brethren. Many slayers have popped up, claiming that the demons, and other non human races, are all in this together.  They believe that this is all part of some gigantic scheme to end the world as we know it.  Not all slayers feel this way however, especially ones who have seen their own kind show far greater evil than any other.   They now seek answers to what has come over their brethren, and the rest of the world. Guardians have been falling from the light left and right, and the remaining guardians are at a loss. They have been sending chosen guardians into normal society in groves, and not all of them with assigned charges, to try and figure out what great evil has befallen their brethren. Weres and Vamps have been battling more ferociously than ever, and in most cases for no apparent reason whatsoever.  More and more weres are giving over to the beastial side, and vamps have began slaughtering innocents in mass numbers.  People from both races have been desperately  trying to figure out what sickness has plagued their kind.  In some cases vamps and weres have even allied, to try and stop the madness. Witches all across the world have began slaying their guardians, or just going mad in the streets, killing thousands of innocents.   The grand coven of witches has assigned very special members to seek out an answer for this madness. The once loving sidhe, have given up their desire to be close and in connection with each other, and some have even turned to cannibalism.  Their are still some good sidhe in the world, but very few remain with sound mind.  They have all banded together to try and find a cure for there brethren, and lovers.  They will stop at nothing to find that cure.  Throughout all of this a common figure has been seen aiding people wherever she can. She is only know as the dark lady, but some call her a true shadow phoenix, in woman form.  Though others think that she is the cause of all the worlds calamity.  She is only seen for glimpses however, and never long enough to be tracked.   This mysterious lady has been whispering to you lately.  Can you hear her? "The world is in turmoil.  Is some great evil responsible for this?   Is the world coming to an end?  Or are the gods truly returning to take revenge on us for all of our past deeds?
