What you should know
Your rights to keep exotic animals such as reptiles are being taken away by animal rights groups using fear, miss information and prejudice to promote bills banning the keeping of these wonderful animals. And with success. These groups want to totally eliminate pet ownership. Meaning you can't have them, because these radical groups said so.
The North Carolina Association of Reptile Keepers has kept these bans out of NC.... you might be thinking, well, I don't live in NC.... so why should I worry?
Simple answer is, they will get to your state if they haven't already. Various bans on keeping reptiles have been successful in IL, NY, KS, KY, WA.
There are right now, bills pending to ban exotic animal ownership in IA, NE, IN, OH, OR and NC
NCARK is also now being looked at for a proposed national model... ARK (American Association of Reptile Keepers).
