SEPT. 6 TO BE SPECIAL DAY FOR MEMORIES AT SPRINGFIELD SPEEDWAY Race fans, mark Sept. 6 on your calendars. That should be one of the most memorable nights ever at Springfield Speedway.
And for once, most of the excitement probably will not be generated by racing
The speedway's season-long observance of its 40th season of continuous operation
will culminate that night with a special reunion of past and present race drivers and fans.
At least, that's what the Springfield Speedway reunion committee is hoping for.
