Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club

Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club

The purpose of this non-profit Club is to provide its members with safe shooting ranges for the practice of marksmanship and competition, as well as a forested wildlife habitat suitable for hunting, fishing, hiking, recreation and family outings for the fellowship of all.  Members are expected to practice safe firearm handling, sportsmanship afield and conservation while using club facilities and grounds.  It is our goal to pass on to our heirs, the joys and privileges of a better outdoors.

Range Hours for Hunting Season 2008/ 2009

The board of directors has unanimously decided since over 80 percent of the membership uses this facility for shooting pistol, rifle and shotgun practice, Pistol range #1, the Rifle range and Shotgun range will remain open from Dawn to Dusk the remainder of the year.  The back two pistol ranges #2 & #3 shall remain restricted use from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from October 1st, until hunting season ends December 31, 2008 unless we must close due to inclimate weather.  No hunting will be allowed within 300 yards of all ranges.  This uses approximately 3 acres of club property leaving 180 plus acres for hunting along with the adjoined Morgan/ Monroe State Forest’s 25,000 acres.
