Splendacrest Endurance Training has several horses available for sale or lease.  Novice horses have completed at least one (1) 80km ride, and Open horses have completed at least three (3) 80km rides.  We definitely believe in "try before you buy", and offer prospective purchasers the opportunity to ride any of these horses here at Splendacrest. 

SPLENDACREST ULYSSES

Ulysses is a grey 5 year old Anglo gelding, 15.1hh.  He has only done one 80km ride to date, but shows enormous potential for the sport.  Ulysses is a very laid-back and relaxed horse, and handles everything we throw at him like an old hand.  He will be a great heavyweight horse in the future!

SPLENDACREST SAYIRAH

Sayirah is a brown 8-year-old purebred mare, 15hh.  This mare has the fastest walk of all our horses, and is particularly good in hilly country, especially downhill. She was raised on a mountain, and is extremely sure-footed and nimble.  Sayirah can go all day, and her canter is very comfortable.  She has just started her endurance career, and her ride record to date is as follows:

SHONAVALE KAMILLA

Kamilla is a 9-year-old partbred chestnut mare, 15.1hh, with two white socks.  She is extremely pretty, with a flaxen mane and tail, and a 'look at me' attitude.  She is very easy to ride, but is quite 'goey' out on track.  She had an excellent start to her open career with a win and BC in the 100km at Murrumba, and then was spelled for a while before starting again in 2007.  Her ride record is as follows:

Fiesta is a 7 year old purebred bay mare, 15hh, with two hind socks.  She is easy to ride, very responsive, and has been brought along slowly with the aim of ensuring her longevity in the sport.  Fiesta has been ridden by an International rider in many of her rides, and is a very reliable competitive horse with fast recovery times.  She has now been sold to Shigeru Ogawa of Japan, but is retained here at Splendacrest for training.

SPLENDCREST DRYAD

Dryad is an 12-year-old purebred bay mare, 15hh, with two white socks and a stripe on her face.  She is a very competitive horse, and not suitable for a novice rider, as she can be quite 'goey'.  Dryad completed her first 3 x 80km rides within 3 weeks, and was then turned out for a couple of months.  In mid-2004 she returned to work, and was entered in 3 more rides.  She had rather busy 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons, and is currently spelling before coming back into work in mid 2008.  Dryad's ride record to date is as follows:

SHAAH

Shaah is a 7 year old brown purebred gelding, 15hh. He has a lovely nature, is easy to ride, but is very competitive.  Shaah is pure Polish, being by Creme Dynasty out of Xiaoling.  He has several siblings racing in the Middle East.
