History
The St. Peter LEGO Science and Technology club began in the spring of 2002. The idea was to have a club where kids could learn and experiment with “real” science concepts. Over 200 kids, grades K-12, have been served through this after-school program. St. Peter Community Education and St. Peter Recreation have been host to this popular program. Currently classes meet in room 100 of the St. Peter Community Center. We have a small in-house computer lab, space for a FLL competition table, and lots of floor space for building.

Instructors
The primary instructor for classes is Deb Johnson. She has learned everything she knows about LEGOs from working with kids in the program. She loves giving kids an opportunity to learn through play and devotes much time to the club.

An occasional Gustavus student will assist or teach a LEGO class. In addition, Gustavus professors Max Hailperin and Tom Huber have been technical advisors to the program.
