(Baowulf)

Baowulf was a leader of unending integrity and also one of the wisest people I have ever known. It does not surprise me to know that his paws left golden prints on the hearts of those he met. He was a leader, a teacher, a friend, and a guide, a person who struck so high a level that it was a wonder he managed to breathe. Yet the sometimes suffocating pressures of leadership were no trouble for him. There was never a time when he was unwilling to help out someone whether they needed a shoulder to cry on or just some advice. Without him and his inevitably useful advice, the Spirit Runners would not exist the way it does now. I could never be the leader I have become today without his help and his guidance. He was, at one time, my leader and despite that fact he supported my decision to break off and create a pack of my own. He respected us by creating an alliance with this pack and it will an act forever remembered by the members of this pack. Baowulf touched so many hearts that he left a shockwave behind him when he passed. He was leader of few words, but those he did give were important. It was almost as if one had to look to see if he was actually there, but he was, always, quiet and watchful. Wolfen strength and loyalty were in his blood and he used these attributes well. There is so much more that I know should be said, but as he was one of few words I will leave here his essence as I saw it, quiet, helpful, comforting, and strong.
